Connection for TIG welding
- Connect (1) the earth clamp to the positive socket (+) (2)
ofthe power source.
- Connect the TIG torch coupling (3) to the torch socket (4)
ofthe power source.
- Connect the gas hose from the cylinder (5) to the rear gas
connection.
- Connect the signal cable (6) of the torch to the appropriate
connector (7).
- Connect the gas hose (8) of the torch to the appropriate
union/connection (9).
System for automation and robotics
- Connect the CAN-BUS signal cable for the control of external
devices (such as RC, RI...) to the appropriate connector (1).
- Insert the connector and rotate the ring nut clockwise until
the parts are properly secured.
Digital inputs (RI1000)
- START
- GAS TEST
- EMERGENCY
Analog inputs (RI1000)
- Welding current
Digital outputs (RI1000)
- Welding tool ready
- Arc on
- Gas cycle
"Consult the instruction manual (RI1000)".
3 SYSTEM PRESENTATION
3.1 General
These constant current inverter power sources are able to per-
form the following types of welding with excellent results:
- MMA
- TIG
with remote arc striking by high frequency (TIG
HF-START) and control of the gas supply by the torch button
- TIG with contact ignition with reduction of short circuit cur-
rent (TIG LIFT-START) and control of gas delivery by means of
torch button (selectable from set-up).
In inverter welders, the output current is unaffected by va-
riations in the supply voltage and the length of the arc, and is
perfectly levelled, giving the best welding quality.
3.2 Front control panel
1
VRD Voltage Reduction Device
Shows that the no-load voltage of the equipment is
controlled.
2
General alarm
Indicates the possible intervention of protection devices
such as the temperature protection.
3
Power on
Indicates the presence of voltage on the equipment
outlet connections.
4
Welding process
Allows you to set the best arc dynamics, selecting the
type of electrode used.
Electrode welding (MMA)
Basic
Rutile
Acid
Steel
Cast iron
Electrode welding (MMA)
Cellulose
Aluminium
Selecting the correct arc dynamics enables maximum
benefit to be derived from the power source to achieve
the best possible welding performances.
Perfect weldability of the electrode used is not guaran-
teed (weldability depends on the quality of the consum-
ables and their preservation, the operating and welding
conditions, the numerous possible applications, etc.).
