Preparing the door depending on the
installation option
NOTICE
Before installation, determine the open-
ing side of the door (left-hand hinge or
right-hand hinge) and only install the
door according to the opening direction.
Outside hinge with floor recess or outside
hinge with continuous floor
Loosen the screws (S2) of the lock (4) and take it out
of the door leaf. Turn the lock (4) 180° and mount it
again. Loosen the screws (S3) of the hinges (3). Turn
the hinges 180° and mount them again.
Outside or inside hinge with continuous
floor
Push out the metal lugs of the sealing groove. Separ-
ate the side parts of the frame (2) at the predeter-
mined breaking point. Do not use an angle grinder as
the heat generated could damage the coating. Re-
move the lower sill and seal the cut edges.
Inside hinge with floor recess
Break off the sealing groove at the predetermined
breaking point from the frame (2) using water pump
pliers. Remove the sill and seal the cut edges.
Use the perforated mounting tape (6) and the 12 self-
drilling screws (S4) to fasten the supplied seal (5) to
the bottom of the door leaf. Note the sash rebate
height.
Fitting the door frame

Only for installation with wall anchors (7): Screw
the wall anchors to the frame using the cross re-
cessed countersunk screws M6 x 12 (S5) and
nuts M6 (S6).

Place the frame (2) in the wall opening and align it
according to the height of the finished floor. Wedge
the frame (2) to the unfinished floor and lintel.

Fix the frame (2) to the masonry on the hinge side
using suitable screws and dowels. Make sure that all
fastening points ensure a firm hold. If necessary, pos-
ition the wall anchors (7) at an angle. The frame must
not be twisted by the fixation. Shim it if necessary.
Fitting the door handle set
Fit the door handle set to the door.

Slide the sleeve (11) onto the square (12) and in-
sert both into the door lock. Place the door
handles (10L and 10R) on the square (12) with
sleeve (11) from the respective sides of the door.
Screw the door handles in place using the
screws (S9) and sleeve nuts (S10). Insert the sleeve
nuts from the outside of the door when doing so.

Slide the covers (13) onto the door handles (10L
and 10R) from both sides.
Fitting the door leaf

Place the door leaf (1) in the frame (2) by inserting
the hinges (3).

Fasten the hinges (3) with the screws (S7).
These assembly, operation and maintenance instructions must be kept for the entire period of use!
Aligning and fastening the door frame
a
Align the frame (2) on the lock side so that the gap
size is the same on all four sides. The frame and door
must be vertical.

For installation with wall anchors: Fix the frame (2)
to the masonry on the lock side using suitable screws
and dowels. Make sure that all fastening points en-
sure a firm hold. If necessary, position the wall an-
chors (7) at an angle. The frame must not be twisted
by the fixation. Shim it if necessary.

For installation through the frame: Fix the
frame (2) to the masonry on the lock side using suit-
able screws and dowels. Make sure that all fastening
points ensure a firm hold. Use suitable shims to main-
tain the rebate dimension.
Mounting the latch clips
NOTICE
The latch clips only need to be mounted
in case of a multi-point lock or the
double-leaf version.
Insert the supplied latch clips (8) into the latch holes
at the top and bottom until they click into place.
Fix each latch clip with a self-drilling screw (S8). The
guide can be enlarged by drilling it out.
Backfilling the door frame and fitting door
seals
Check whether the frame is plumb and flush at the
angles and, if necessary, align it again with a spirit
level. Then fill the entire cavity between the frame
and the wall (e.g. with mortar).
Cut the seal (9) according to the door dimensions.
Insert the seal (9) into the frame (2).
Adjusting the closing pressure
Adjust the closing pressure of the door by loosening
the screw (S11) and shifting the striking plate (14) ac-
cordingly. If necessary, loosen the screws (S1) of the
hinges and set the distance between the door leaf
and frame by adjusting the insertion depth.

Completing the installation
In order to ensure proper functioning, durability and
smooth running of the side door it is essential that all
parts have been mounted in accordance with the as-
sembly instructions. Check if the side door operates
properly and safely. The following points are to be
checked in particular:
•
Are all spacers intended for transport removed?
•
Are all screw connections tight?
•
Can the door be opened and closed properly?
•
Is the seal correctly fitted in the profile grooves?
•
Is the entire circumference of the door leaf in
contact with the seal?
•
Is the closing pressure set correctly?
•
Are the pivot points greased?
