Safety
Observe the following safety information:

Failure to observe the safety instruc-
tions can cause severe injuries.

directives given in these assembly
and operating instructions helps to
avoid personal injuries and material
damage while working on and with
the product.
•
Read and comply with all safety in-
formation and instructions.
•
Only use the product for the intended use as
mentioned in these instructions.
•
Keep all safety information and instructions for
future reference.
•
Installation work may only be carried out by
qualified personnel.
•
Never make any modifications or changes to the
product that have not been expressly approved
by the manufacturer.
•
Only use genuine spare parts of the
manufacturer. Incorrect or faulty spare parts can
cause damage, malfunctions or even a total
failure of the product.
•
Failure to comply with the safety information and
directives given in these instructions or with the
accident prevention regulations and general
safety regulations relevant to the field of
application shall exempt the manufacturer or its
representative from all liability and shall render
any damage claims null and void.
2.1
Intended use
Side doors are intended for installation in garages
and their purpose is to provide safe access for
people.
Side doors are subject to dangers although they are
tested in accordance with all national and interna-
tional standards and built according to the current
state-of-the-art.
Never make any modifications or changes to the
product that have not been expressly approved by
the manufacturer.
The product should be assembled by 2 persons to
avoid hazards during assembly.
These assembly, operation and maintenance instructions must be kept for the entire period of use!
2.2
Foreseeable misuse
Any use other than described in chapter "Intended
use" is regarded as reasonably foreseeable misuse.
This particularly applies to the following cases:
•
In the event of failure to observe the assembly,
operating and maintenance instructions, the
respective country-specific standards and
directives or applicable safety regulations.
•
If the product has been improperly serviced or
maintained, especially by unsuitable persons.
•
If components or parts which do not comply with
the intended use are attached to the door, frame
or locking system.
•
If changes or modifications have been made on
the product or its components.
•
If the product is not in a perfectly safe condition.
Any damage or injury resulting from reasonably fore-
seeable misuse and / or not following the assembly
and operating instructions will render the manufac-
turer's liability null and void.
2.3
Personnel qualifications
The following persons are authorized to install, main-
tain and disassemble the product:
•
qualified assembler
Qualified assemblers are defined as persons who are
familiar with and trained in the installation and re-
moval of doors and who are qualified by knowledge,
skills and practical experience and have received the
necessary instructions to carry out the required tasks
correctly and safely.
The following persons are authorized to handle the
product:
•
operator (without restriction)
2.4
Potential hazards associated with the
product
The product has undergone a risk assessment. The
product's design and construction, which are based
on this risk assessment, correspond to the current
state-of-the-art. The product is safe to operate when
used as intended. Nevertheless, residual risks re-
main.
Impact and crush hazard due to
WARNING
unintentional movements caused by
wind!
•
Always keep the door closed when
no one is walking through.
•
Hold the door firmly when opening it
so that it cannot accidentally slam
shut and cause injuries. Close the
door after walking through.
•
Always keep the opening range of
the door clear.
