Only replace by the same type or similar types recommended by the manufacturer.
Remove empty battery in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer.

6. OPERATION

The DMP-101 can either be operated via the buttons on the front panel or via the remote control.
However, via the remote control it is not possible to select folders on the storage media and the function
"Pitch Bend".

6.1 Remote control

1. When actuating a button, always direct the remote control towards the sensor. The must be no obstacles
between remote control and the sensor.
2. If the range of the remote control decreases, the batteries are probably exhausted and must be replaced.

6.2 Replaying storage media

6.1.1 Switching on/off
1. Prior to switching on, turn all level controls to minimum to prevent switching noise. Switch on the DMP-
101 with the POWER button. If a storage media is inserted the display indicates the number of folders
and the number of titles of the first folder after the read-in. If no storage media is inserted "LOAD USB" is
displayed.
2. Prior to switching the unit off, always terminate the replay. Then press the POWER button to switch off
the unit.
6.2.2 Loading storage media
Insert SD/MMC cards with their contacts pointing downwards. Connect USB storage media to the USB ports.
6.2.3 Selecting a player mechanism
Select a player mechanism with the selector switch SD/USB (the unit must be in pause or cue mode). The
LEDs indicate which player mechanism is active.
6.2.4 Ejecting storage media
To eject an SD/MMC card slightly press the card in until it comes out and can be removed. CAUTION! Never
attempt to eject an SD/MMC card or USB storage media in replay mode.
Storage media with a capacity of up to 4 GB can be used. The unit cannot read storage media
with a capacity of more than 4 GB. The unit is not compatible to SDHC cards and only supports the
MP3 format.
6.2.5 Selecting a title
1. For selecting titles from the current folder use the control FLD/TRK SEARCH. Turn the control once to
the left to select the next lower title or to the right to select the next higher title. Title number and title
name are indicated in the LCD. Press the control to indicate the name of the folder.
2. For direct selection of a title with the numerical keys 0-9 on the remote control, enter its number. When
entering a one-digit number, press 0 first. Examples: For title number 1 press key 0 and 1. For title
number 27 press key 2 and 7.
