These Fitting Instructions must be read in full before beginning installation work. AC Schnitzer bears no liability for
damage caused by incorrect installation!
These Fitting Instructions are intended solely for use by authorised AC Schnitzer dealers.
These Fitting Instructions are in all cases directed at professionals trained in BMW vehicles who have the
corresponding specialist knowledge and tools.
All diagrams are symbolic and show LHD vehicles, for RHD vehicles proceed accordingly or follow separate Fitting
Instructions. All pictures shown in these Fitting Instructions are symbolic and do not necessarily match all vehicle
types. Proceed accordingly to install the Performance Upgrade!
AC Schnitzer reserves the right to modify the delivery object in relation to the information and images in this
documentation, e.g. in relation to technical data, design and external appearance.
As manufacturer, we are obliged to point out that any changes you make to a vehicle licensed for use on public
roads require approval by a test centre and registration in the vehicle documents. As the legal regulations may vary
according to location, please contact the competent authorities for information.
Fitting
All work must be performed using current BMW work instructions and circuit diagrams, using the prescribed tools.
The latest circuit diagrams must be taken from the BMW ISTA system.
Disconnect the vehicle battery before installing the AC Schnitzer Performance Upgrade.
In principle control unit connections may only be made and released with the ignition turned off.
Removal and installation of the control unit can create faults in the fault memory. After working on the electrical
system therefore always check for fault codes.
Investigate stored fault messages and clear memory after rectification.
Carry out all work in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
The AC Schnitzer performance upgrade is fitted with a Plug & Play wiring harness and must be installed in the vehicle
as described in these Fitting Instructions. The guarantee applies only in the case of correct installation. Disconnect
the vehicle battery before installing the AC Schnitzer Performance Upgrade.
Fitting Time (1 unit = 5 minutes)
The fitting time is around 48 units, which may vary depending on vehicle condition and equipment level.
