Temperature range
The devices can operate in an ambient temperature
between –10 °C and +50 °C. If conditions are extreme,
consult the manufacturer.
Regulations
It is essential to comply with the accident prevention
and safety regulations for manually operated lifting gear
applicable in the country or region where the devices
are employed.
Maintenance and repair
Use for the intended purpose includes following the
inspection and servicing specifications in addition to
observing the operating instructions. The beam clamp
must immediately be taken out of operation if it
malfunctions.
3. Inappropriate use
• The carrying capacity of the beam clamp must not be
exceeded.
• Using the beam clamp to transport people is
forbidden (Fig. 3).
• Welding work on the beam clamp is forbidden
(Fig. 4).
• Parallel shear pull, i.e. lateral loading on the support
bolts and side plates due to incorrect attachment of a
load is forbidden (Fig. 5). Always lift in a straight line
between the suspension point and the load attach-
ment point.
• Do not allow the beam clamp to fall from a great
height; the device should always be properly laid on
the floor.
• Use in areas subject to explosive hazard (Ex) is
forbidden.
