6. Maintenance

Maintenance may only be carried out by the user in the cases expressly provided for in
this manual. Other interventions are prohibited.
Before any maintenance, unplug the steam cleaner from the power outlet. The
appliance is not de-energised until it has been disconnected from the mains. After
maintenance and before reconnecting the steam cleaner to the mains, check that all
parts have been properly reassembled.
Clean the dirty water tank and accessories:
Periodically check the condition of the vacuumed material. Empty dirty water tank after
each use and wash with water and neutral detergent.
For the correct use of the accessories, clean the O-rings periodically with SANIVAP
lubricant.
Maintenance of the boiler:
The boiler should be serviced on average every 300 working hours. If the appliance is
used with water that has a high degree of hardness (> 15° dH), reduce the time
interval between one maintenance and the other.
Descale the boiler using a suitable descales available from approved service centres.
Do not use products other than those recommended for cleaning the boiler. Release
the pressure from the boiler.
Prolonged downtime:
If the vacuum cleaner is not to be used for a long period of time, unplug it from the
mains, empty and clean the dirty water tank and the boiler and protect the parts that
could be damaged by dust. When starting up again, check whether the working hose
or accessories are cracked.
Scrap it:
If the steam vacuum cleaner is no longer used, we recommend disconnecting the
electric cable and rendering all parts harmless so that they cannot pose a danger,
especially to children, who could use the removed device for their games.
The steam vacuum cleaner must be scrapped as hazardous waste, i.e. it must be
dismantled and the various materials disposed of in accordance with the regulations in
force.
Do not use the parts dismantled for disposal as spare parts.
