1.1 Purpose of the Manual

This manual is aimed at operators of a fireplace. It contains important information for safe and sustain-
able operation, as well as for the care and maintenance of your fireplace.
Read this manual through carefully before starting the first fire. No special previous knowledge is re-
quired.

Keep this manual close to your fireplace. You can read through it later, if necessary. Other useful in-
formation can be found on the Internet at:
1.3 Other Applicable Documents
Observe the applicable documents for components from other manufacturers and optional accesso-
ries (e.g. fans, air dampers, controls, negative pressure monitors, etc.) installed on your chimney sys-
tem. As well as the instructions and directions from the installer of your system.
1.4 Safety Information
Carefully read the generally applicable safety information in Section 5.
The warnings embedded in the text will make you specifically aware of potential hazards when operat-
ing and maintaining the fireplace. The warning information is clearly marked and divided into three
steps:

Indicates a potential hazard. Failure to observe or take remedial action may result in serious injury!

Flammable materials may ignite when exposed to naked flames and hot surfaces.
