• Diese Gebrauchsanleitung muss dem Benutzer ausgehändigt werden. Die Gebrauchsanleitung ist den Unterlagen
der elektrischen Anlage beizufügen und muss auch eventuellen neuen Besitzern ausgehändigt werden.

9. GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN
• Der Garantiezeitraum beträgt vier Jahre ab Lieferdatum. Als Lieferdatum gilt das Rechnungsdatum zum Zeitpunkt
des Kaufs durch den Endverbraucher. Falls keine Rechnung mehr vorhanden ist, gilt das Produktionsdatum.
• Der Endverbraucher ist verpflichtet, Niko schriftlich über einen Produktmangel innerhalb von zwei Monaten
nach dessen Feststellung zu informieren.
• Im Falle eines Mangels hat der Endverbraucher nur Recht auf kostenlose Reparatur oder Ersatz des Produkts.
Eine Entscheidung darüber obliegt allein Niko.
• Niko ist nicht für Mängel oder Schäden verantwortlich, die durch fehlerhafte Installation, nicht bestimmungsgemäßen
oder unsachgemäßen Gebrauch, durch falsche Bedienung, Anpassen/Ändern des Produktes, infolge von
unsachgemäßer Wartung entgegen den Wartungsvorschriften oder die sich aus äußeren Umständen, wie
beispielsweise infolge Feuchtigkeit oder Überspannung, ergeben.

1. DESCRIPTION
The RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi is designed to control 12 to 36 Vdc LED strips (common anode).
Depending on the voltage of the LED strip, the controller has a maximum capacity of 50 to 150 W per
channel. For 12 Vdc LED strips, the capacity is 50 W per channel, for 24 Vdc LED strips it is 100 W and for
36 Vdc LED strips it is 150 W.
The controller is equipped with its own WiFi network (Niko RGB) or can be linked to the existing WiFi
network (home network) via the settings menu in the Color Control Niko application. With this application,
you create a central, user-friendly control on your smartphone for RGB, RGBW or tunable white LED strips.
Consult Chapter 4 for more information about the application.
The controller automatically recognises which LED strips – RGB, RGBW or tunable white – you have
connected. For automatic detection, the LED strip must be a minimum of 30 cm long.
An RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi can be operated by a maximum of ten wireless RGB(W) wall controls
(1XX-90001). If you add more than ten RGB(W) wall controls to the installation, the first wall control (in the
sequence in which you programmed them) will be erased from the controller.
Each RGB(W) wall control can operate a maximum of five RGB(W) controllers RF + WiFi simultaneously.
In this case, you must set the controllers in a master-slave configuration. You connect a maximum of one
master and four slaves to one wall control.
The product is part of a radio frequency system (RF) as well as part of a WiFi system, both of which are
wireless installation techniques connecting the push buttons (control points) or the Color Control Niko
application and the controller(s) to be operated. The remote or wireless control operates on the basis of
signal transmission via radio waves at a frequency of 868 MHz. Only products that do not continuously
transmit are permitted at this frequency. The wireless system is excellently suited to specific applications,
such as the renovation of classified interiors and the expansion of existing electrical installations (where
drilling or channelling is difficult or impossible).
The operation of devices with an infrared remote control, such as a TV or video and audio devices,
is not disrupted by the RGB(W) wall control. Under optimum conditions the indoor detection range is
approximately 15 m. The transmission range of the RGB(W) wall control depends on the materials used in
the residence. Figure 1 shows the quality loss of the transmission range depending on the materials used.
Caution: The signals on this wireless device may be disrupted by interference affecting its operation.
Therefore the device should never be placed in the vicinity of other wireless systems and both the
functionality and the range of the wall control and controller(s) should be tested before fixing.
2. INSTALLATION
If multiple RGB(W) controllers RF + WiFi are being installed, you perform the installation per controller.
You must use a power supply whose voltage and capacity are appropriate for the LED strip that is
connected.
2.1. Mounting
The RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi is suitable for mounting in false ceilings, furniture, roll-down shutter
cabinets ... You mount the controller in openings with a minimum drill diameter of 55 mm and a flush-
mounting depth of at least 100 mm (fig. 2).
The top of the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi is equipped with a mounting eye (diameter: 4.5 mm) for wall
mounting.
Attention:
• To avoid overheating and possible interference of the RF or WiFi signal, never place the RGB(W)
controller RF + WiFi right next to its power supply.
• Never cover the RGB(W) controller RF and WiFi.
• Surfaces made of metal or heavily reinforced concrete may interfere with the signal.
• Install a maximum of ten wall controls and controllers per building.
Tips:
• Test the operation and reach of the wall controls and/or controllers in their intended positions before
fixing.
• Respect the minimum clearance distances around the RGB(W) controller RF and WiFi (fig. 3). The
minimum distance to respect between two controllers is 50 cm.
• Place the wall control and controller as close together as possible (while also respecting the required
minimum distance of 50 cm between them).
• For a proper operation of the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi, optimal cooling is required (fig. 4).
2.2. Connection
Refer to figure 5 for the connection of the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi.
Use wires with a diameter of 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² for the connection.
Attention: Always respect the sequence of the colours on the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi when
connecting the RGB LED strips:
• red on the R connection terminal
• green on the G connection terminal
• blue on the B connection terminal
• common on the C connection terminal.
In case of LED strips with tunable white LEDs, you connect the cold white LEDs to the CW connection
terminal and the warm white LEDs to the WW connection terminal.
Attention: If you connect more than 5 m of LED strips to the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi, you must
connect the common to the + connection terminal on the primary side (fig. 6).
Tip: Operation of the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi is optimised when the greatest possible capacity per
channel is used, limiting the number of controllers.
