3. PROGRAMMING
Refer to the manual of the wireless RGB(W) wall control for the programming of the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi.
If multiple RGB(W) controllers RF + WiFi are being installed, you perform the programming per controller.
When utilising a master-slave configuration, you must program the most centrally located controller as the
master. In order to allow the LED strips to be synchronised in the same set-up, synchronisation takes place each
time during the colour red. Should the LED strips deviate slightly following a full colour loop this synchronisation
is barely visible.
Bear in mind that your router or access point needs to be set at 2.4 Ghz.
Caution: The WiFi reach of the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi can only be as good as the reach of your WiFi
network.
4. COLOR CONTROL NIKO APPLICATION
You download this Color Control Niko application free-of-charge from the App store (iOS) or via Google Play
(Android).
If the installation contains more than one RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi, you link the application to each
controller separately.
Tip: For increased ease-of-use, it is best to link the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi to the home network (see
section 4.2.).
4.1. Linking the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi to its own WiFi network (Niko RGB)

1. Download the Color Control Niko application.
2. Via the settings menu on your smartphone,
link the smartphone to the WiFi network
of the controller (Niko RGB) and enter the
password '0123456789'.
Attention: This only applies to initially
activating the controller. If you have already
changed the network name (SSID), you must
log in there.
3. Open the application.

Press to call up the list of rooms
and to change the settings of the room.
(By a long press on the image of the room)
5. Adjust the following room settings:
• name of the room (optional);
• image (take or upload a photo)
(optional);
• type of LED strip: RGB, RGBW or
tunable white (obligatory).

Tip: We recommend that you change the network name 'Niko RGB' to the name of the room, for
example.

You have now linked the smartphone to the
controller and can now also operate this
controller.

2. Select 'Use Direct NIKO RGB WIFI connection
with the RGB(W) controller' by pressing

3. Enter your own name for the network.
Attention: Do not use a network name that
already exists in the immediate vicinity.
4. Close the application and link your
smartphone via the settings menu to the
device with the new network.
The password is again '0123456789' (cannot
be changed).
5. Open the application again.

Step Action
1. Repeat all of the steps listed above under
'Linking the controller' and 'Changing the
network name" for each controller.
Attention: Each time you want to control a
different room (RGB(W) controller), you must
switch networks using the settings menu on
your smartphone.
4.2. Linking the RGB(W) controller RF + WiFi to the home network

1. Repeat all of the steps listed above under
'Linking the controller' in section 4.1.
2.
Press to go to the settings menu.
3. Select 'Connect RGB(W) controller to your
WiFi home network' by pressing

Press to confirm that you are
connected to the network of the RGB(W)
controller.
5. Select the desired home network and confirm
with the password of the home network.
6. Close the application and link your
smartphone to the home network.
It is possible that this has already occurred
automatically.
7. Open the application again.
The following screen appears:
You receive confirmation that the new
network name has been accepted.
You can now control the LED strip.

the controller has been successfully linked to
the home network.
