von Frischluft kann erfolgen, indem man ein Fenster
oder eine Außentür etwas öffnet oder ein Zuluftgitter
anbringt.
4. UMLUFT INSTALLATION (NUR 1861)
Bei Umluftbetrieb muss im Küchenmöbel eine Rücklauf-
öffnung von mindestens 550 cm² vorgesehen werden, um
die gereinigte Luft in die Küche rückführen zu können.
Die Rücklauföffnung kann durch einen Ausschnitt im
Sockel oder durch den Einbau eines Gitters erfolgen.
Der Luftaustritt kann über den Anschlussadapter er-
folgen. Dadurch wird die Rückführung der Luft durch
eine Aussparung in der Rückwand gewährleistet. Der
Abstand zwischen der Rückwand und einem angren-
zenden Möbelstück oder einer Wand muss mindestens
25 mm betragen.
Eine andere Lösung ist die Verwendung des Novy Easy
Umluftkits. Die Rückführung der Luft ist dann direkt im
Sockel möglich.
Für eine optimale Leistung der Dunstabzugshaube ist
es wichtig bei der Installation die folgenden Punkte zu
beachten.
Allgemeine Informationen:
− Machen Sie den Kanal so kurz wie möglich und führen
Sie die Umluft mit möglichst wenig Kurven.
− Vermeiden Sie rechtwinklige Kurven. Nutzen Sie ab-
gerundete Kurven, damit die Luftströmung möglichst
nicht behindert wird.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 General
These are the mounting instructions for the Novy unit
shown on the cover. The user manual is delivered sep-
arately with this unit. Carefully read these instructions
before installing and commissioning this unit.
This manual makes use of a number of symbols. The
meaning of these symbols are given below.

1.2 Safety
Observe the following mounting and safety tips for
mounting:
− The installation and electrical connection of the unit
shall be carried out by an authorised expert. The manu-
facturer does not accept any responsibility for any
damage resulting from faulty building in or connection.
− Carefully take the unit from the packaging and check
it for damage before mounting. Do not mount the unit
in case of any damage.
− Check if all mounting materials have been supplied
using the drawings in section 2.2.
− The unit is intended for household use only (preparation
of food) excluding any other domestic, commercial
or industrial use.
− Position the electrical connection such, that it is located
in the cabinet in which the cooking unit is mounted.
− Safety can only be guaranteed if the unit is connect-
ed to an earth wire in accordance with the required
regulations.
− Do not use an extension cord for connecting to the
electricity grid.
− A damaged cooking plate can endanger your safety.
Check the cooking plate for visible damage. Do not
mount a damaged cooking, but contact your supplier.
− Do not modify or change the unit.
− Do not use the cooking plate as a basis or work surface.
− For the users of pacemaker, the magnetic field could
influence its operating. We recommend getting infor-
mation to the retailer or of the doctor.
