7.2.3 Achieving the desired length

1. Thanks to the comb guides, hair can be adjusted to the following lengths:
a. Comb guide 1
b. Comb guide 3
c. Comb guide 6
d. Comb guide 9
e. Comb guide 12 12 mm
f. Comb guide 15 15 mm
g. Comb guide 18 18 mm
2. Use the device without comb guides to achieve lengths shorter than 1 mm.

7.3 INTRODUCTION TO HAIR CUTTING:

7.3.1 Step 1 - Neck

1. Attach comb guide 3 (3mm).
2. Hold the edges of the blades pointing upwards and start cutting at the back of the neck,
beginning from the centre of the head.
3. While cutting, hold the device gently and smoothly touch the skin with the comb guide. In
order to avoid abrasions or other injuries, do not force the comb guide on the skin.
4. Guide the device slowly upwards and outwards through the hair. At the beginning, cut a little
at a time.
5. While cutting, lift the device up towards you, so that only a small amount of hair can be cut at
a time. This guarantees the control over the cutting process and prevents blocking the
device.
6. Now clip the hairs on the back part of the neck in an upward direction towards the upper part
of the ears.
7.3.2 Step 2 – Back of the head
In order to shorten your hair at the back of the head, set the length between 9 – 15 mm.
7.3.3 Step 3 – Sides of the head
For the sides of the head, use a cutting length of between 9 mm and 12 mm. In order to obtain a
desired hair cut, hold the hair clipper at the corresponding angle. Now cut the hair on the sides.
7.3.4 Step 4 – Top of the head
7. Use a cutting length of between 9 mm and 12 mm.
8. In general hair on top of the head needs to be cut in the opposite direction of hair growth, i.e.
from the front to the back of the head. However, in some places it is necessary to cut the hair
from the back to the front of the head.
9. If you want to achieve a short or brush cut, set the cutting length between 3 mm and 6 mm,
or less if desired.
