Cutting with the barber's comb (without the comb guide)
10. Lift the hair to be cut with the barber's comb or fingers, and cut it at the desired length.
Always start at the back of the head. You can adjust cutting length by decreasing or
increasing the distance between your fingers or teeth of the barber's comb and the head.
11. Regularly remove the hair that has been cut with the barber's comb and control the evenness
of the cut. Trim hair that is too long.
7.3.5 Step 5 – Finishing touches
12. Finally, use the device without the comb. Work on contours around the sides of the neck and
ears.
13. In order to cut the sideburns evenly, hold the device with the blades pointing downwards.
14. Place the blade unit at a right angle and clip downwards.

15. First use the biggest cutting length (18 mm). Clip from the lower part of the neck up to the top
of the head. Hold the comb guide flat against the head and move it slowly through the hair.
16. Proceed in the same way from the bottom to the top of the head. Now cut the hair from the
forehead to the top of the head and even out the cut on both sides.
17. For the square cut, it is recommended to use the comb guide for clipping the hair on the top
of the head. You will get better results than when using the device without it.
18. Finally use the smallest cutting length (1 mm) in order to shape the hair on the neck. Check
the evenness of the cut. If needed, touch the haircut up. Finally, trim the sideburns as well as
the hair in the lower neck area.

7.3.6 Trimming the beard

19. In order to trim beards, put on the comb guide with the desired cutting length and trim the
beard. Always trim the beard with the comb guide facing forwards. In order to touch the
beard up, you can use the device without the comb guide.
