Chain Tension

Adjust the chain tension with the quick tension
screw cap (9). Turning the screw cap clockwise
will increase the chain tension and turning the
screw cap counter clockwise will reduce the
chain tension.

The saw chain should be tensioned that way, so
the chain is not too loose, and it should be
possible to lift it off the guide bar a few millime-
tres.

Chain Saw Oil

The chain saw is delivered without chain saw oil. Fill into the oil
tank chain saw oil before using for the first time. Operating the
chain saw without chain saw oil will damage the chain saw and the
guide bar.
1. Place the chain saw on a level surface and unscrew the oil tank
cap (4).
2. Only use bio-degradable chain saw oil. On
the flag window of the filling hole you can
check the oil level.

While filling, make sure dirt cannot get into
the oil tank. Dirt can damage the built-in oil
pump.

While cutting, make sure the oil level does
not drop under the minimum mark.

Note temperature conditions: Different ambient temperatures
require lubricants with a very different viscosity. At low tempera-
tures, you need low viscosity oils to produce proper lubricating. If
you now use the same oil in summer, this would be further liquefied
by the higher temperatures alone. As a result, the lubricating film
can tear off, the chain would be overheated and can be damaged.

Regularly check the automatic chain lubrication function to prevent
overheating and damage to the guide bar and saw chain. To do
this, aim the guide bar tip against a smooth surface (board, part of a
