▪ Cutting with the chain saw when standing on a ladder, in a
tree or in any other instable places in not allowed. Do not cut
with the chain saw above shoulder height and do not saw with
one hand.
▪ Use only original accessories and original replacement parts.
▪ When sawing converted timber and thin branches always use
a strong support, such as a sawing trestle. Do not stack
timber pieces. First time users should first practice cutting
round logs on a sawhorse or stand.
▪ Do not work with the chain saw on a tree. When operating on
a tree there is a risk of injury. Always make sure you stand
firmly and only use the chain saw when you are standing on
firm, safe and level ground. Slippery surfaces or unstable
surfaces such as on a ladder can cause loss of balance or
loss of control over the chain saw.
▪ When cutting a live branch, bounce it back. When the tension
in the wood fibres is released, the taut branch can hit the
operator and/or snatch the chain saw out of control. Do not
cut free-hanging branches from below.
▪ Be particularly careful when cutting undergrowth and young
trees. The thin material can get caught in the saw chain and
hit you or unbalance you.
▪ Before cutting logs, secured in position. When working on
sloping ground, make sure to work facing upwards.
▪ When working with a power tool outdoors, use only extension
cords that are suitable for outdoor use.
▪ Damaged cables, couplings and plugs or connection cables
that do not comply with the regulations must not be used! If
the mains cable is damaged or cut through, pull out the mains
plug immediately! If replacement of the connecting cable is
required, this must be done by professionals to avoid any
safety hazards.
