Writing Image Data to a CD-R

Image data can be written to a CD-R from image data
stored on a disk or scanned from a photograph or film.
You can also write images to CD-R while they are being
printed through another output service.
Notes
• Image data can be stored only on a blank disc. Images
cannot be written to a CD-R that contains previously
stored data.
• Image data cannot be written to CD-RW.
• Data stored on a CD-ROM or CD-R cannot be stored
directly to another CD-R.
• When image data is written to a CD-R, it cannot be
rotated, the color cannot be corrected, and the number
of copies cannot be specified.

Perform one of the following procedures.
• To write stored image data to a CD-R
Step 1 of "Selecting Media Where Image Data is
Stored" (page 6) to Step 2 of "Inserting the
Media" (page 7)
At this time, touch [CD Creation] in "Selecting
the Output Service" (page 7)
• To scan a photograph and write the image data to
CD-R
Step 1 of "Selecting the Scanner as the Input
Device" (page 13) to Step 5 of "Loading the
Originals in the Scanner" (page 13)
At this time, touch [CD Creation] in "Selecting
the Output Service" (page 13)
• To scan from film and write the image data to
CD-R
Step 1 of "Selecting the Scanner as the Input
Device" (page 19) to Step 6 of "Scanning the
Film" (page 22)
At this time, touch [CD Creation] in "Selecting
the Output Service" (page 19)
Note
In the descriptions for printing, substitute "CD-R"
for "Print".

Touch the images that you want to write to CD-R,
then touch the [OK] button in the lower-right corner
of the screen.
To cancel the selection, touch the image again. To
select all of the images, touch the [Select All/
Deselect All] button. To select or deselect more
than one image (but not all), touch them
individually, one at a time.
If all the images cannot be displayed on one screen
page, touch the [b] or [B] button to display more
pages.

Note
If the data on the media that you inserted in the unit
contains unsupported files formats and/or
unreadable files, they are represented by the
following icon and cannot be selected.
At this step, you can also perform the following
procedure:
• Touch the [Load from another media] button to
load data stored on a different media. Follow the
instructions on the screen to perform this
operation.
The screen allowing you to confirm prices is
displayed.
