BROADCAST RECEPTION
When erasing a memorized station name, use the
following procedures.
@ Use a STATION CALL button to select the broadcast station with
the station name you want to erase.
@ Press the CHARACTER/SEARCH
button twice.
@ Press the MEMORY button.
@® Press the STATION CALL button in procedure © again.
The station name is then erased.
@When
you want to change a memorized
station name,
after
selecting a desired broadcast station, register the new name using
procedures 2 to 6.
© For greater convenience, record memorized station names in the
STATION CALL button "memo" on page 34.
SEARCHING FOR A DESIRED PROGRAM BY
PROGRAM TYPE (Program Type Search)
You can search for FM broadcasts of a desired program type (PTY).

Pour effacer un nom de station en mémoire, utiliser

RECHERCHE D'UN PROGRAMME
DESIRE
PAR TYPE DE PROGRAMME
(Recherche de Type de Programme)
Vous pouvez rechercher les émissions FM d'un type de programme
désiré (PTY).

. Turn the POWER switch ON.
. Select FM with the BAND selector buttons.
. Press the DISPLAY MODE button to select the PTY
mode.
"PTY" flashes in the display, after which the program type is
displayed.
4. Press the CHARACTER/SEARCH
button.
"SEARCH" lights in the display.
5. Select
the
desired
program
type
using
the
TUNING — (down)/+ (up) buttons.
6. When your desired program type is displayed,
press the CHARACTER/SEARCH button.
Search begins.
Frequency is raised 50 kHz over the current frequency, and
broadcast stations conforming to the input program type are
automatically received. If more than one station of the same
program type is found, they are received one after the other for
six seconds each, starting with any presets. When the station you
want is received, press the CHARACTER/SEARCH button. Search
stops, and reception of that station continues.

NOTE:
When a broadcast of the selected program type cannot be found,
search continues until the CHARACTER/SEARCH button is pressed.

1. Régler l'interrupteur d'alimentation (POWER) sur
la position ON.
2. Appuyer sur la touche du sélecteur de gamme
(BAND) désirée.

"PTY" clignote sur l'affichage, 4 la suite de quoi le type de
programme est affiché.
4. Appuyer sur la touche CHARACTER/SEARCH.
"SEARCH" s'allume sur l'affichage.
5. Sélectionner le type de programme désiré avec les
touches TUNING — (descendante)/+ (ascendante).
6. Lorsque le type de programme désiré est affiché,
appuyer sur la touche CHARACTER/SEARCH.
La recherche commence.
La fréquence est élevée de 50 kHz par rapport a l'actuelle et les
stations émettrices conformes au type de programme entré sont
automatiquement regues. Si plus d'une station du méme type de
programme
est trouvée, elles sont regues les unes aprés les
autres pendant 6 secondes,
4 commencer
par les préréglées.
Quand
est recgue la station désirée,
appuyer
sur la touche
CHARACTER/SEARCH.
La recherche
est
interrompue
et la
réception de cette station se poursuit.
REMARQUE:
Si une station du type de programme choisi ne peut étre trouvée, la
recherche se poursuit jusqu'a ce que la touche CHARACTER/SEARCH
soit enfoncée.
