Initial operation

Danger!
If you find a crack or other damage to the ceramic surface, switch the appliance off immediately. Pull the
plug or take out the respective fuse. Danger of electric shock.
Danger!
Electric current! Any handling of the warming tray beyond normal operation may be done only when the
appliance is not plugged in. Be sure to unplug the plug from the socket first. Danger of electric shock.
Danger!
A damaged power cord is extremely dangerous and must be replaced immediately. This may be done
only by an authorized technician. The appliance may be plugged into a grounded socket only. The ground
protection may not be eliminated by an ungrounded extension cord.
Danger!
Do not immerse the warming tray or the power cord in water and never spray water directly onto them.
Danger of electric shock!

Do not use the warming tray in unprotected outdoor areas. Moisture can lead to malfunctions.

where and where not to set it up

• Set up the warming tray in a place where it is stable and horizontal.
• Do not set up the warming tray next to or on hot surfaces (heaters, burners or other sources of heat). This presents
a danger of fire or short circuit!
• Do not place the warming tray on or next to flammable materials!
• In case the warming tray is on a tablecloth, make sure that it is stretched out sufficiently and does not touch the
bottom of the warming tray, as it may become hot.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children.

Do not operate this appliance using an external timer or a separate remote control.

If sugar or sugary foods melt on the glass ceramic surface, please remove immediately with a glass
ceramic surface scraper to prevent damage.

Do not leave cookware on the warming tray unattended. The food could boil over and ignite.
caution!
Do not touch the glass ceramic surface of the warming tray immediately after use. The heat can cause burns!
