Installing the GPS antenna

You can mount the GPS antenna in the car or outside of the car. Fix the GPS antenna to a
suitable position on the dashboard behind the windscreen and ensure no obstacles to
receive GPS signals. When the satellites determine your position, the navigation system
can supply guidance information. At the time the satellites do not determine your position
completely, the navigation system can not supply instructions.

Installing the TMC hardware

Please operate as follows to install the TMC antenna:
Connect the 2,5" jack of the external TMC antenna with the 2,5" jack plug on the

backside of your device.
Connect the antenna adaptor with the antenna connection on the backside of

your device.
Following please connect the external TMC antenna with the antenna adaptor.
•
Please connect the TMC antenna with the radio connection of your device.

Note: There might occur some trouble with the radio reception in unusual cases, when
connecting the TMC antenna referring to the type of car. In this case please connect the
TMC cable to the 2,5" jack on the backside of the device. Do not connect the antenna
connectors of the TMC cable. Please only connect the radio antenna of the device
with the car antenna.
