Use only accessories with an allowable speed matching at least the highest no-load speed
of the tool.
•
Grinding wheels not corresponding to the characteristics given in these operating Instructions
may not be used.
•
After inspecting and installing an accessory test-run the tool for at least 5 minutes without
load. Stay out of danger area. If there is a considerable vibration or if any other defect
occurs, stop the tool and check it to determine the cause.
•
Do not grind on a cold wheel. The grinding wheel should be started and run at idle speed
for one minute before applying the work.
•
Follow the dust-related national requirements for the materials you want to work with.
Prevent dust accumulation at the workplace. Dusts can easily ignite.
•
Do not use the machine and do not work on it in proximity of inflammable liquids and
vapours thereof.
•
Always carry the power cable to the machine from behind.
•
Always unplug the machine before any work on the machine (cleaning, grinding disk
replacement etc.).
•
Upon having completed the job, unplug the saw-chain grinding machine from the mains.
•
Take care to have the saw-chain to be ground secured as appropriate for it not to slip out.
•
If the appliance should start to vibrate abnormally, switch off the motor and check for
the cause immediately. Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
•
For safe handling always mount tool on a flat and stable working surface (e.g. workbench).
•
Never use the machine without its protective guard and spark guards.
•
The power tool must immediately be switched OFF if it gets blocked. Unplug the power tool
and remove the stuck workpiece.
•
Do not use this power tool in moist or wet surroundings.
•
Ensure that sparks resulting from use do not create a hazard e.g. do not hit persons, or
ignite flammable substances.
•
Beware that after switching off the tool the wheel continues to rotate for a short period.
•
Keep handles dry, clean, free from oil and grease.
•
Always keep the cord away from moving parts of the tool.
•
Do not cover the ventilation slots and keep the vents clean to avoid an overheating of
the power tool.
•
Avoid touching the tip of a accessory or a workpiece just after working; it may be extremely
hot and could burn your skin.
•
Grinding wheels must be stored in a dry place.
•
Use only spare parts and components, which the manufacturer delivers and recommends.
The use of non-genuine parts can damage the machine and injure the operators.
•
Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Any work not listed in this manual MAY BE
PERFORMED ONLY BY AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTRES.

WARNING!
Do not touch the damaged cable and pull the mains plug when the cable is damaged
while working. Damaged cables increase the risk of an electric shock. If the power
supply is damaged, it must be immediately replaced with a cable without defect, to
avoid dangerous situations.
