u
ring to other people or their property.
Electrical safety
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded sur-
u
faces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerat-
ors. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your
body is earthed or grounded.
Do not expose the power tool to rain or wet condi-
u
tions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of
electric shock.
Avoid all bad weather conditions, especially when
u
there is a risk of lightening.
Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common
u
sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a
power tool while you are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inatten-
tion while operating power tools may result in serious per-
sonal injury.
Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye
u
protection. Protective equipment such as a dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing protection
used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal in-
juries.
Wear suitable clothing, including long trousers. Do not
u
wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair and
clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jew-
ellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at
u
all times. This enables better control of the power tool in
unexpected situations.
Do not run with the power tool.
u
Always use the product at waist level on the ground.
u
Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools
u
allow you to become complacent and ignore tool
safety principles. A careless action can cause severe in-
jury within a fraction of a second.
Power tool use and care
Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and
u
do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or
these instructions to operate the power tool. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for mis-
u
alignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts and any other condition that may affect the
power tool's operation. If damaged, have the power
Bosch Power Tools
tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained power tools.
Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and
u
free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping
surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the
tool in unexpected situations.
Never spray the product with water. Never immerse
u
the product in water.
Only operate the product with mounted nozzle.
u
Blow garden waste only. Do not blow or use the product
u
near hot, flammable or explosive material. Do not blow
snow or objects that could become a projectile. Do not
use the blower as a propulsion for vehicles (e.g. skate-
board).
The machine continues to blow for a few seconds after
u
being switched off. Allow the motor to stop rotating be-
fore switching on again.
Do not rapidly switch off and on.
This product is not intended for use by persons (in-
u
cluding children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and know-

struction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Children should be super-
vised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
Keep all cooling air inlets clear of debris.
u
Do not modify the product. Unauthorized modifications
u
may impair the safety of your product and may result in
increased noise and vibration.
Always start the product at a low speed level, espe-
u
cially in cold temperatures.

u
Do not use the product in closed rooms where dust
u
can be inhaled.

u
cially from the fan, return it to the service centre.
Safety Instructions and Recommendations for Optimal
Handling of the Battery
Ensure the product is switched off before inserting
u
the battery. Inserting the battery into a product that has
the switch on can cause accidents.
Use only Bosch batteries intended specifically for this
u
product. Use of any other batteries may create a risk of
injury and fire.
Do not open the battery. There is a risk of short-circuit-
u
ing.
Protect the battery against heat (e.g.,
against continuous intense sunlight), fire,
water, and moisture. There is a risk of explo-
sion.
When not using the machine, keep the battery not in
u
use away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws,
or other small metal objects that could cause bridging
of the terminals. Shorting the battery terminals together
