Safety instructions for assembly and use
- During operation of the cooker bonnet, the metal grease filters must always be
inserted, otherwise grease vapour can build up in the bonnet and in the
exhaust air system.
- With gas cookers, make sure that the cooking zones are not operated without
cookware. With open gas flames, parts of the cooker bonnet can be damaged
by the rising heat.
- Flambéing under the cooker bonnet is not permitted because of the fire
hazard. The rising flame can ignite the fat deposited in the filter.
- Deep-frying or working with oils and fats under the cooker bonnet may only be
done under constant supervision due to the risk of fire.
- Other work with an open flame is not permitted. They could start a fire and
damage metal grease filters or other parts. The only exception is the proper
use of a gas cooker.
Safety instructions for maintenance, cleaning and care
- For all maintenance and cleaning work, pull out the mains plug or switch off
the corresponding fuse in the house fuse box.
- The cooker bonnet must not be cleaned with a steam cleaner.
- If the maintenance and cleaning instructions are not followed, there is a risk of
fire due to grease deposits.
