3.5. TIPS AND ADVICE FOR USE
3.5.1. Questions about ILMO2 50 io ?
Observations
The motorised product does
not work.
If the motorised product still does not work, contact a motorisation and home automation professional.
3.5.2. Obstacle detection
The automatic obstacle detection function protects the roller shutter
and enables obstacles to be cleared:
• If the roller shutter meets an obstacle when lowered, it stops
automatically.
- Press the Up button to release the roller shutter.
• If the roller shutter apron encounters an obstacle when mov-
ing upwards, the roller shutter stops automatically.
- Press the Down button to release the roller shutter.
3.5.3. Anti-freeze protection
If the ILMO2 50 io detects any resistance, it does not move in order to
protect the roller shutter casing: The roller shutter remains in the initial position.

The automatic antifreeze protection prevents damage to the shutter when the last slat of the shutter is frozen
onto the windowsill. However, if the shutter is (completely) frozen in its guide rails or if one slat is frozen solid to
another, this may reduce the effectiveness of the antifreeze protection. In this event, it is still possible that damage
may be caused to the shutter. It is very rare for the shutter to become frozen in this way. In such a case, refrain
from using the roller shutter until the ice has thawed.
3.5.4. Replacing a lost or broken Somfy control point
To replace a lost or broken control point, contact a motorisation and home automation professional.

Possible causes
The control point battery is low.
The motorisation is in thermal protection
mode.
The motorisation is in anti-freeze
protection mode.
Solutions
Check whether the battery is low and replace
it if necessary.
Wait for the motorisation to cool down.
Wait until the temperature permits the
motorised product to move again.
