1. PREREQUISITE INFORMATION

1.1. FIELD OF APPLICATION

The ilmo 50 motorisations are designed to motorise all types of roller shutters fitted with stop blocks and
rigid ties.
The professional motorisation and home automation installer must ensure that, once installed, the installation of
the motorised product complies with the standards in force in the country in which it is commissioned such as, for
example, the EN13659 roller shutters standard.

1.2. LIABILITY

Please read these instructions carefully before installing and using the motorisation. In addition to following the
instructions given in this guide, the instructions provided in the attached Safety instructions document must also be
observed.
The motorisation must be installed by a home motorisation and automation professional, in accordance
with Somfy's instructions and the applicable regulations in the country of installation.
Any operation of the motorisation outside the field of application described above is prohibited. Such use, and any
failure to comply with the instructions given in this guide and in the attached Safety instructions document, absolves
Somfy of any liability and invalidates the warranty.
The installer must inform its customers of the operating and maintenance conditions for the motorisation and must
provide them with the operating and maintenance instructions, and the attached Safety instructions document, after
installing the motorisation. Any After-Sales Service operation on the motorisation must be performed by a motorisation
and home automation professional.

2. INSTALLATION

Warning
• These instructions are mandatory for the motorisation and home automation professional installing the
motorisation.
• Comply with current standards and legislation in the country of installation.
Attention
• Never drop, knock or puncture the motorisation or immerse it in liquid.
• Install an individual control point for each motorisation.
