filter bowl, a rubberized fabric hose suitably secured with a clamp, and fasten it to the drain (see
figures 3 and 4). The discharge point must be lower than the drain funnel or hose connector. The
rubberized fabric hose should not be more than 2 metres long.
CAUTION: avoid bends and bottlenecks in the rubberized fabric hose: they can generate counter-
pressure at the drain point and cause malfunctions.
- Check for the need, presence and efficiency of any anti-flooding devices;
- Check whether there is an adequately sized drain and periodically monitor its state of clogging;
- Check that the installation complies with any local regulations or guidelines;
PREPARATION OF K-MATIC
CAUTION: Set-up of the programmer must be carried out with dry hands.

- Unscrew the transparent protective cover and access the battery compartment/programming keys
- Open the battery compartment (1) by removing the cover located in the lower half of the front of
the programmer (figure 1)
- Insert a 9V rectangular battery type 6LR61
(not included in the package). Immediately after the battery is connected, all LEDs on the control
panel light up in sequence; two valve-closing pulses are also activated.
Subsequently, the system switches to INTERVAL, displays the frequency (interval between two
washes) of "12 hours" , and the automatic operating cycle is switched off (control unit on stand-
by): with the system in this condition, it is only possible to program timings and activate manual
dispensing.
PROGRAMMING OF AUTOMATIC OPERATION
K-MATIC can be programmed by setting the interval between each valve opening (it is possible to
choose between 12h, 24h, 7, 15, and 30 days) and its duration (10" or 20"). When the INTERVAL

and 12h LED indicators are lit, proceed as follows:
• Press "▲" or "▼" repeatedly to select the interval between two valve openings
• Press SET to confirm selection; K-MATIC sets to "10 sec"
• Press "▲" or "▼" to select the valve opening duration (10 or 20 seconds)
• Press SET. K-MATIC switches to MANUAL; press the SET button for 5" to save the programming
and start the first wash cycle.
If the programming has been correctly saved, the INTERVAL LED flashes, and the fixed LED
6
indicates the programmed interval between two previously set washing cycles. The first opening
of the valve takes place, and the countdown for K-MATIC cyclic operation starts.
Changing the Automatic Programming
It is possible to change the programmed intervals between two valve openings and their duration
5
at any time; if the values are changed (even without pressing SET for 5"), the new timings will
be active from the next cycle. To enable them immediately, restart the cycle by pressing the SET
SET

button for 5" . The cyclic operation will start from this moment on with the activation of the first
dispensing and the programmed frequency.
Manual valve opening
Press the SET button until the MANUAL position is reached. Pressing the "▲" button activates a
valve opening cycle depending on the set dispensing time (10" or 20"). The manual valve opening
can be disabled at any time by pressing the "▼" button. The manual valve opening is indicated by
the blinking of the INTERVAL LED indicators and does not alter the programmed operating cycle.
The manual valve control function is not available during a programmed opening.
Note: Once programming operations are complete, screw the transparent protective cover back
on to ensure the programmer is waterproof.
Note: The LEDs light up steadily until the automatic operating cycle is triggered, which is indicated
by the LEDs flashing.
Note: The LEDs turn off after 120 seconds of button inactivity (the saved programming, however,
remains enabled); press the SET button to turn the LEDs back on.
Note: By pressing the SET button repeatedly, it is possible to display the valve opening interval,
the opening duration, and the MANUAL position cyclically.
