Dear Customer, congratulations on choosing this product from ATLAS FILTRI¨, manufactured
in Italy. Please read this document carefully and store it in a safe place. It will help you to better
understand and use the product.
K-MATIC is a solenoid valve with programmable opening that enables automatic flushing of filters
equipped with a ½" BSPP M threaded connection.
Technical features:
- ½" BSPP F IN/OUT connections
- Maximum operating pressure: 8.3 bar
- Minimum operating pressure: 1.8 bar
- Maximum operating temperature: 45 °C
- Minimum operating temperature: 4 °C
Materials:
- Timer body: ABS
- Valve: PA66
K-MATIC is compatible with the self-cleaning filters of the HYDRA series and the drain filters of
the PLUS S 3P BX and CX, DP S and DP S DS, K PLUS S 3P, K DP S and DP BIG S series.
K-MATIC features a programmable timer that cyclically operates the solenoid valve in two modes:
• Manual
• Automatic, at each set time interval and for the set opening duration. In automatic mode, the
interval between two valve openings and their duration are programmable according to the
following options.

Each valve opening is followed by a second opening with a fixed duration of 3" .
CONNECTING K-MATIC TO THE BOWL DRAIN (figure 2)
- Connect K-MATIC to the bowl drain using the brass swivel fitting supplied in the package.
- Insert the two green gaskets, included in the supply, between the socket and the swivel fitting
and between the latter and K-MATIC.
- Screw the fitting onto K-MATIC first and then K-MATIC to the bowl drain. The brass swivel nut can
be used to position the K-Matic according to the user's needs.
- Using the PTFE tape, screw the drain funnel or hose connector into the K-MATIC lower threaded seat.
HYDRAULIC CHECKS AND COMMISSIONING
Complete the installation and connection of the filter drain and perform the following steps:
a. Check for any water leaks by gradually opening the water going into the filter;
b. Check that K-MATIC is correctly installed so as not to obstruct regular filter maintenance operations;

c. Check that the drainage line is firmly attached to K-MATIC and that no water leaks during filter
cleaning operations. Then, connect to the drain funnel or hose connector at the bottom of the
