It is prohibited to transport damaged batteries. For the duration of transport, remove the demountable batteries from the product
and secure the exposed contacts, e.g. by covering them with insulation tape. Protect the batteries in the packaging in such a way
that they do not move inside the packaging during transport. National regulations for the transport of hazardous goods must also
be observed.
Charging the battery
Caution! Before charging, disconnect the charging station power unit from the mains by removing the plug from the mains socket.
In addition, clean the battery and battery clamps of dirt and dust with a soft, dry cloth.
The battery has a built-in charge indicator. The LEDs will light up by pressing the button (II); the more of them come on, the higher
the charge level. If the LEDs do not light up when the button is pressed, the battery is discharged.
Disconnect the battery from the tool.
Slide the battery into the charger socket (II).
Plug the charger into a mains socket.
The red LED will light up, which indicates the charging process.
When charging is complete, the red LED will turn off and the green LED will light up to indicate that the battery is fully charged.
Pull the power unit plug out of the mains socket.
Pull the battery out of the charging station by pressing the battery latch button.
Caution! If the green LED lights up when the charger is connected to the mains, it means that the battery is fully charged. In this
case, the charger will not start the charging process.
Setting rotational speed and selecting the torque
The cordless screwdriver has two mechanically-switched gears (III). Depending on the selected maximum rotational speed, select
one of them. A gear that is characterised by a lower rotational speed is recommended for driving and removing the screws, while
a gear that is characterised by a higher speed is recommended for drilling.
The torque is set by means of a ring placed behind the drill chuck (IV). The higher the setting, the higher the torque provided by
the cordless screwdriver. Do not set a higher torque than is necessary to work properly. Otherwise, the threads can be damaged.
If screws are driven directly into the material, the correct torque should be experimentally selected by carrying out a test on waste
material. If the maximum torque that is safe for a given connection is not known, set the lowest value and then increase it until the
proper value for a given work is reached. If the cordless screwdriver reaches the maximum set torque, the overload coupling will
engage – after that stop driving the screw.
Behind the torque selection ring, there is a ring for selecting the drilling type. Setting the ring to the hammer symbol means
hammer drilling.
Hammer drilling should be used to make holes in concrete and should not be used to make holes in wood or plastics.
Setting the ring to the drill bit symbol means normal drilling (non-hammer drilling). Setting the ring to the screw symbol means
screw driving.
If the tool is to be used for drilling holes, the ring must be set to the drill bit or hammer symbol; the overload coupling will be dis-
connected and the maximum torque will be transferred to the drill bit.
Caution! Do not use the settings with numbers for drilling. Activation of the overload coupling during drilling may damage the
material or the drill bit and increase the risk of injury.
Installing drill bits in the drill chuck
Select the drill bit with a cylindrical holder suitable for the work.
Insert the drill bit into the chuck. Tighten the drill chuck by hand until the drill bit is securely attached (VI).
Set the maximum torque. Set the torque ring to the drill bit or hammer symbol.
Setting the rotation direction
Set the rotation direction switch to the desired position. The direction of rotation is indicated by an arrow (VII). The arrowhead
shows the movement direction of the drill bit and right-hand screws.
Caution! The direction of rotation must only be changed when the supply voltage is disconnected! Do not change the rotation
direction during the operation of the drill driver!
Installing the screwdriver bits in the drill chuck
Insert the chuck for bits into the hole of the drill chuck, and then insert the bit suitable for work or install the bit directly into the
chuck (VIII).
Installing the additional handle (IX)
Due to the high torque, always use the tool with the correctly attached additional handle.
