Note
The sensor buttons are activated by a light touch.
● If an "I" appears in the bottom left-hand corner of the
display, this indicates information that is stored in
the user menu under "Error messages". The reading
of error messages is described in the Chapter "User
menu".
● If an "e" is shown in the top left of the display, Eco
mode is activated. This deactivates the hot water re-
serve and reduces the cooling capacity. This reduc-
es energy consumption. Heating up or cooling down
may take longer afterwards. Activating or deactivat-
ing the Eco mode is described in the Chapter "User
menu".

Operation
1. Place a container in the centre of the drip tray.
2. Press the button for the desired type of water until
the container is filled.

If the option "Standard Serving Amounts" is activat-
ed in the user settings, it is possible to choose be-
tween three preset serving amounts (1.0, 0.5 and
0.2 l) after selecting the water type (for setting see
Chapter "User menu / Operating parameters").

As a further option, there is a custom serving
amount function where any amount of water can be
taught to the buttons. If this option is activated in the
user settings, it is possible to choose between 1, 2
or 3 adjustable serving amounts after selecting the
water type (for setting, see Chapter "User menu /
Operating parameters").

If the option "Extra hot" is activated in the user set-
tings, it is possible to choose between the variants
"hot" and "extra hot" after selecting hot water (for
setting see Chapter "User menu / Operating param-
eters").

Note
The "Serving amount" option is not available for dis-
pensing hot water for safety reasons. To release hot wa-
ter, briefly press the hot water button once. The heating
process is shown graphically in the display. Once the
preset water temperature is reached, press and hold the
hot water button until the desired amount of water has
been dispensed.
After each heating process, 0.5 l of hot water is availa-
ble. The output stops after max. 0.8 l. If more hot water
is required, repeat the process.
Shutting down
If the device is not used for more than 4 days:
1. Close the water inlet.
2. Set the power switch to "0".
Initial startup after shutting down
WARNING
Health risk
When shut down, the concentration of germs in the wa-
ter inside the device may increase.
Be sure to follow the steps below for the applicable shut
down period before using the device again.
After shutting down up to 7 days
1. Take at least 1 litre of each type of water and pour it
away.
After shutting down 8 to 28 days
1. Take at least 1 litre of each type of water and pour it
away.
2. Carry out an extraordinary thermal sanitisation (see
Chapter Maintenance)
After shutting down up to 2 months
1. Take at least 1 litre of each type of water and pour it
away.
2. If the device has been shut down for more than 28
days, correct the date of thermal sanitisation.
3. Carry out the missed thermal sanitisation.
After shutting down for longer than 2 months
1. Perform an extraordinary filter change.
2. Correct the date of thermal sanitisation.
3. Carry out thermal sanitisation.

Transport

CAUTION
Failure to observe the weight
Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during transporta-
tion.
 Do not transport the device in a horizontal position.
 When transporting the device in vehicles, secure it
to prevent it from slipping or overturning in accord-
ance with the respective valid guidelines.
Equipment shipping
The device must not be transported in a horizontal posi-
tion.
 Select a suitable packaging for transport and mark it
on the outside with a conspicuous marking for verti-
cal transport.
 If possible, place a small wooden pallet under the
shipping box.
 Alternatively, take the device directly to a Kärcher
service centre.

Storage

CAUTION
Failure to observe the weight
Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during storage.
1. Store the device in a frost-protected place.
