Any use of the vehicle filter requires full understanding
and strict observation of these Instructions for Use and
the Instructions for Use of the vehicle filter system for
which the filter is used. The vehicle filter is only to be
used for the purposes specified herein.
Safety Symbols Used in these
Instructions for Use
These Instructions for Use contain a number of
warnings for risks and hazards which might occur when
using the device. These warnings contain signal words
which will alert you to the degree of hazard you may
encounter. These signal words and corresponding
hazards are as follows:
Indicates a potential hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in physical injury or damage to
property. It may also be used to alert against unsafe
practices.

Intended Use

Health hazard. The vehicle filters do not provide
protection against hypoxia and do not filter carbon
monoxide and carbon dioxide.
Vehicle filters installed in a vehicle filter system form a
filter unit. Filter units filter specific gases, vapours and
particles from the breathing air within specified limit
values.
The A2 vehicle filter is intended to be used exclusively
in Dräger vehicle filter systems in order to provide
breathing protection against gases and vapours (e.g.
from solvents).

The A2B2E2K1Hg vehicle filter is intended to be used
exclusively in Dräger vehicle filter systems. It filters:
– organic gases and vapours
– inorganic gases and vapours such as hydrogen
sulphide, chlorine gas and hydrogen cyanide
– sulphur dioxide, hydrogen chloride
– ammonia
– mercury
