Assembly and use
1
Put the base plate onto the base unit.
2
Push your cutting plate onto the shaft. The cutting side must be uppermost (fig 6).
•
Some plates are reversible: one side slices, the other side shreds.
3.
Fit the lid onto the base (fig 7).
•
If it's not on snugly, take it off, turn the base plate slightly, then try again.
4
Turn the lid clockwise until it clicks into place.
5
Fit the unit onto your mixer (figs 8, 9 10).
6
Plug in and put a bowl under the food outlet.
7
Put the food into the feed tube.
Hint: don't cut food up too small. Pack the feed tube solidly. This prevents the food from slipping
sideways during processing.
8
Switch on the minimum speed (or speed 1 for cheese). Then push your food down with the pusher
(fig 11).
To use the bean slicer
1
Trim the beans.
2
Fit the thick slicer/shredder, slicing side uppermost.
3
Switch on the minimum speed, then feed in the beans (fig 12). The cutting plate will pull them
through.
Keep your fingers out of the opening.
Cleaning
1
Unplug your mixer.
2
Remove your slicer/shredder, then dismantle it.
3
Lid, pusher, cutting plates, base plates: wash up, then dry thoroughly.
4
Base: wipe the inside - don't let the central hole or the underneath get wet. Then dry thoroughly.

Some foods, eg carrot, may discolour the plastic. To remove this, rub with a cloth dipped in vegetable
oil.
