The engine oil should be heated slightly (approx.
50°C) before carrying out oil changes. This makes it
more viscous so that it flows more easily. If neces-
sary, run the engine for a brief period.
1. Remove the right wheel drive on the oil outlet side
by pulling out the axle pin and draining it into a
suitable pan (min. 1 l) positioned below.
2. Open the oil drain screw and filing nozzle (dip-
stick) and allow the oil to drain completely.
3. Close the oil drain screw again and tighten it
hand-tight.
4. Top up oil with a funnel, check the oil level with the
dipstick and seal it again.
Recommended engine oil SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40
(depending on the operating temperature).
Dispose of the used oil properly at a local used oil
collection point. Dumping used oil in the soil or mixing
it with waste is prohibited.
Please follow points 1-3 above to drain the engine oil
and close the filling port (dipstick).
When draining the petrol, close the fuel valve first,
then open the tank cap and let the petrol completely
drain into a sufficiently large container by tilting it or
suctioning it out.
Then, close tank cap again.
Attention! No smoking and no open flame. Risk of ex-
plosion!
Replacement shear pins (Fig. 12)
A pair of spare shear pins (I) and clamping sleeves
for the feed auger are provided with your snowblower
in the enclosed accessories bag (39). Store them in a
safe place until you need them.
Tensioning the rubber crawler track (Fig. 21)
Over time, the rubber crawler track may stretch. If the
machine pulls to the left but a straight path is desired,
tighten the left part of the rubber crawler track. If the
unit pulls to the right, tighten the right part of the rub-
ber crawler track. To adjust the tension, tighten the
locknut (k) on the front of the side part of the rubber
crawler track. This will tighten the J-bolt (l) located on
the axle and tighten the rubber crawler track.
Lubrication (Fig. 30 + 31)
Feed screw transmission
The transmission has been filled with lubricant at the
factory up to the appropriate level. No additional lu-
bricant is required unless there are signs of a leak or
repair work has been carried out on the transmission.
If lubricant is required, use GL-5 or GL-6, SAE-95,
EP transmission oil lubricant. Do not use synthetic oil.

General lubrication
Lightly lubricate all moving parts of the machine at
the end of the season or every 20 operating hours.
• Do not allow lubricant or oil to get onto the brake
lugs, brake discs or belts. Do not oil the machine
too much; excess oil can get into the drive and re-
sult in the drive belt slipping.
• When lubricating the feed screw shaft, remove the
clevis pin to apply oil to the inside of the shaft and
the spacers and flange bearings which are at both
ends of the shaft.
• Remove the wheels in order to lubricate the wheel
shaft.
Repair
Feed screw belt (Fig. 19 - 22)
If the feed screw belt is worn, full of oil or otherwise oc-
cupied, proceed as follows in order to change the belt.
1. In order to prevent spillage, remove the
fuel from the tank by closing the fuel valve
and
running
Then, open the tank cap and let the petrol com-
pletely drain into a sufficiently large container by
tilting the machine or sucking it out. Then, close
tank cover again.
2. Remove the two screws that hold the belt cover
and place the cover to one side.
3. Unwind the feed screw belt(s) from the engine
roller.
4. Carefully turn the snowblower up and forward so
that it stands on the feed screw housing.
5. Remove the frame cover from the underside of
the snowblower by removing the screws which
hold the cover.
6. Remove the belt(s) from the feed screw roller and
slide the belt(s) between the mounting bracket
and the feed screw roller.
7. Replace the feed screw belt by carrying out the
instructions in reverse order.
Drive belt (Fig. 23 - 25)
If the drive belt is worn, full of oil or otherwise occu-
pied, proceed as follows in order to replace the belt.
1. In order to prevent spillage, remove the fuel from
the tank by closing the fuel valve and running the
engine until it stops. Then, open the tank cover
and let the petrol completely drain into a suffi-
ciently large container by tilting the machine or
using a hand pump. Then, close tank cap again.
2. Remove the two screws that hold the belt cover
and place the cover to one side.
3. Remove the belt as follows:
• Unwind the feed screw belt from the engine
roller.
• Turn the tensioning roller to the right to reduce
the tension.
• Lift the belt from the engine roller.
