• Plan your snowblower route to avoid discharging
towards persons or into areas where property dam-
age may occur.
• Do not use the machine in the vicinity of slopes,
ditches or mounds. The machine may suddenly fall
if a wheel goes over the edge of a cliff or ditch or
the edge collapses.
• Bystanders, children and pets must keep a dis-
tance of at least 23 m (75 feet). If anyone approach-
es you, stop the unit immediately.
• Use an earthed extension cable and connection
socket for all machines with electrical drive en-
gines.
• Check the clutch and brake function frequently. Ad-
just them and repair if necessary. All movements
of wheel drives and feed screws must be quickly
stopped when the control lever is actuated.
• The engine and the machine must be able to adjust
to the outside temperature before snow is cleared.
• Watch out for hidden dangers and traffic.
• Do not overload the capacity of the machine by try-
ing to clear the snow too quickly.
• Do not throw the snow higher than necessary.
• Adjust the height of the feed screw housing to pre-
vent gravel or grit being sucked into the feed screw.
Use extreme caution when operating.
• Be careful in order to prevent slipping or falling, in
particular when operating in reverse gear. Never
operate the machine at high transport speeds on
slippery surfaces. Always look down and behind
you before and while moving backwards.
• Do not operate the machine on steep slopes. Do
not clear snow across slopes. All movements on
slopes must be slow and gradual. Do not suddenly
change speed or direction. Proceed slowly in or-
der to prevent stopping or changing direction on
slopes. Avoid starting or stopping on slopes. Do
not park the machine on a slope unless absolutely
necessary. When parking on a slope, the wheels
must always be blocked.
• Disconnect the power transmission to the feed
screw when transporting or idle.
• Release all control levers and stop the engine
before leaving the operating position (behind the
steering rod). Wait until the feed screw has come to
a complete standstill before emptying the ejection
shaft and making any changes or checks.
• Hands making contact with the rotating parts in the
ejection shaft is the most common cause of injury
associated with the snow blower. Do not empty the
ejection shaft if the engine is running. Switch the
engine off before emptying the shaft and remain
behind the steering rod until all moving parts have
stopped. Never put your hands in the ejection or
collection openings. Always use the cleaning tool
to empty the ejection opening.

Residual risks
The machine has been built according to the state-of-
the-art and the recognised technical safety require-
ments. However, individual residual risks can arise
during operation.
• Health hazard due to electrical power, with the use
of improper electrical connection cables.
• Before performing setting or maintenance work, re-
lease the start button and pull out the power plug.
• Furthermore, despite all precautions having been
met, some non-obvious residual risks may still re-
main.
• Residual risks can be minimised if the "Safety in-
formation" and the "Proper use" together with the
operating manual as a whole are observed.
• Avoid accidental starting of the machine: the op-
erating button may not be pressed when inserting
the plug in an outlet. Use the tool attachment that
is recommended in this operating manual. This is
how to ensure that your machine provides optimum
performance.
• Keep your hands away from the work area, when
the machine is in operation.
