For assembly, hold the guide bar (12) swivelled up-
wards at an angle of approx. 45 degrees to make
it easier to feed the saw chain (11) into the groove
of the guide bar.
8.
Insert the guide bar (12) and the saw chain (11) at
the spring tensioner (13) and pull the saw chain
(11) over the groove of the guide bar. When the
saw chain (11) is released, it will be automatically
tensioned.
9.
Fit the chain cover (3) back on.
10. Turn the screw for the chain tensioning system (2)
clockwise until hand tight.
11. Check the seating of the saw chain (11) again and
tighten the screw (2) for the chain tensioning sys-
tem and the chain cover (3).

12.4 Sharpening the saw chain

Effective work with the cordless pruning saw is only
possible if the saw chain is in good condition and
sharp. This also reduces the risk of kick-back.
The saw chain can be resharpened at an authorised
specialist workshop. Do not attempt to sharpen the saw
chain yourself if you do not have a suitable tool and the
necessary experience.
12.5 Checking the chain wheel (Fig. 2, 6 and 8)
1.
Switch the product off and remove the rechargea-
ble battery (15).
2.
Set the product down on a level surface.
3.
Turn the screw (2) for the chain tensioning system
and the chain cover (3) anti-clockwise to remove
the chain cover (3).
4.
First remove the guide bar (12) and the saw chain
(11).
5.
Check the grooving on the chain wheel (14) with a
test gauge (not included in the scope of delivery).
6.
If the grooves are deeper than a=0.5 mm, do not
use the cordless pruning saw and consult a spe-
cialist dealer (Fig. 8). The chain wheel (14) must
be replaced.
12.6 Checking the guide bar (Fig. 2 + 9)
1.
Switch the product off and remove the rechargea-
ble battery (15).
2.
Set the product down on a level surface.
3.
Turn the screw (2) for the chain tensioning system
and the chain cover (3) anti-clockwise to remove
the chain cover (3).
4.
First remove the guide bar (12) and the saw chain
(11).
5.
Measure the groove depth of the guide bar with
the scale on a file gauge (not included in delivery).

6.
The guide bar (12) must be replaced if any of the
following apply:
• The guide bar is damaged
• The measured groove depth is smaller than the
minimum groove depth of the guide bar (4 mm).
• The groove of the guide bar has narrowed or
spread.

ing parts are subject to natural or usage-related wear,
or that the following parts are required as consuma-
bles.
Wearing parts*:Saw chain, guide bar, chain wheel
* may not be included in the scope of supply!
Connections and repairs
Connections and repair work on the electrical equip-
ment may only be carried out by electricians.
Please provide the following information in the event
of any queries:
• Type of current for the motor
• Machine data - type plate
• Engine data - type plate
Important note in the case of repairs:
When returning the product for repair, for safety rea-
sons, ensure that it is free of oil when it is sent to the
service centre.

13. Disposal and recycling

The device is supplied in packaging to avoid
transport damages. This packaging is raw ma-
terial and can thus be used again or can be
reintegrated into the raw material cycle. The
device and its accessories are made of differ-
ent materials, such as metals and plastics.
Take defective components to special waste disposal
sites. Check with your specialist dealer or municipal
administration!
