VI2F-PICAB - 2-WIRE INTERCOM HANDSET
1) OVERVIEW
The VI2F-PICAB device is an indoor audio station of the AVE DOMINA 2-wire video-intercom station V44EASY. The functions and characteristics are as follows:
• Answering a call;
• Management of the auxiliary outside door bell
• Management of three gates, two on board the outdoor station and one optional on auxiliary relay VI2F-RELAY;
2) DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
The VI2F-PICAB device complies with the following standards:
• EN 62820-1-1:2016 Building intercom systems - Part 1-1: System Requirements – General. Grade 2;
It also complies with the following directives and regulations:
• RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU;
• REACh Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006;
• EMC 2014/30/EU
3) INSTALLATION, POSITIONING AND FIXING
The handset must be installed indoors, within the temperature limits indicated, and following the instructions in this document. The device can be installed on round boxes 2501, or square boxes 2502.
The suggested installation height of the product is at 1.5 m from the ground. Refer to Figures 1 and 2 to install the devices.
4) CONNECTIONS
The meaning of the connection plugs and dip-switches located at the rear of the device (fig. A) is illustrated here below:

5) ADDRESSING
On the rear of the enclosure there is an 8-position dip-switch box (2 + 6), with which you can set the address of the handset from 1 to 128, using the following table (binary code).
6) IMPEDANCE MATCHING
A 2-position dip-switch box is accessible on the rear of the enclosure (fig. A): position 1 should be set to OFF; position 2 should be set to ON when the device is connected to the end of the Bus line,
without further devices connected to the second pair of input terminals.

7) TONE AND VOLUME OF THE RINGTONE
Within 60 seconds of switching on, briefly press the "Ps" lock button to select the ringtone sound. The default sound is Sound 1, out of 5 available. Press briefly to move to the next one; the system
automatically returns to the first one, following a circular pattern. The last selected one is automatically stored.
Within 60 s of power-on, or when a call is in progress, briefly press the "PV" volume button to set the volume of the ringtone. The default volume is Volume 3, out of 4 available. Press briefly to move to
the next one; the system automatically returns to the first one, following a circular pattern. The last selected one is automatically stored
8) AUDIO VOLUME
When the conversation is active (handset unhooked), briefly press the volume button "Pv" to set the volume of the audio in the handset. The default volume is Volume 2, out of 3 available. Press briefly
to move to the next one; the system automatically returns to the first one, following a circular pattern. The last selected one is automatically stored.
9) RESETTING THE DEFAULT PARAMETERS
If the "PV" button is pressed for 3 s within 60 s of power-on, the device prepares to reset to the factory settings: this is signalled by a long "beep". Press the "Pv" button again to reset: the operation
is confirmed by another long "beep.
10) BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The basic functions of the device are illustrated here below:
a) ANSWERING AN INCOMING CALL
In standby mode, pick up the handset to answer an incoming call.
b) ENDING A CALL
A call can be ended at any time within the 120-s conversation by hanging up the handset.
c) OPENING THE DOOR
When the device is in stand-by mode, is receiving a call, or during a conversation with an outdoor station, briefly press the door-opening button "Ps" to open door No. 1 (EL high energy output
on the outdoor stations). Pressing and holding (3 s) the same button effects the second output of the outdoor stations (NO contact). If the relay module (VI2F-RELAY) is present, press and hold
(3 s) the "PV" volume button to effect the corresponding output.
d) CONCIERGE CALL
In stand-by mode, lift the handset, then press and hold (3 s) the door opening button "Ps" to call the concierge. If the device emits 3 short "beeps", the call was unsuccessful.
e) INCOMING CALL FROM DOOR BELL BUTTON
The device will emit a sound when the door bell button connected to its input is pressed (sound independent of the main ringtone).
