FUEL GAS ODOR
LP gas and natural gas have artificial odors added specifically to detect fuel gas leaks. If a gas leak occurs, you
should be able to smell the fuel gas. Since propane (LP) gas is heavier than air, you should smell for the gas
odor near the ground. ANY GAS ODOR IS YOUR SIGNAL TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION!
Ventilation
The heater can also be used as a ventilator.
1. In this case, remove the gas supply hose and connect the heater plug to a suitable electrical
supply.
2. Set the fan switch to position I.
Switch off
To turn off the heater, close the gas cylinder tap. Let the blower run until the flame goes out, then
set the blower switch to position O.
• Do not take any actions that could ignite the combustion gas. Do not operate any electrical swit-
ches. Do not pull on power cords or extension cords. Do not light matches or other flame sources.
Do not use your telephone.
• Get everyone out of the building and out of the area immediately.
• Close all propane tank or gas cylinder valves or the main valve on the gas meter if using natural
gas.
• Propane (LP) gas is heavier than air and can settle in low areas. If you suspect a propane leak, stay
away from all low areas.
• Use your neighbor's phone and call your fuel gas supplier and fire department. Do not re-enter
the building or area.
• Stay outside the building and area until the fire department and your fuel gas supplier declare
the area safe.
• Finally, have the fuel gas supplier and the fire department check for leaked gas. Have them venti-
late the building and area before you return. Properly trained service personnel must repair any
leaks, check for additional leaks, and then relight the unit for you.

06 - CLEANING, CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• The repairs or maintenance work must be carried out by qualified personnel only.
• The appliance must be checked at least once a year by a qualified technician.
• Regularly check the condition of the gas hose and the gas regulator, if it needs to be replaced, use
only original spare parts.
• Before starting any maintenance work on the heater, disconnect both the gas and electricity sup-
plies.
• If the heater has not been used for an extended period of time, we recommend that a technician
perform a general check prior to start-up. It is important to check the following:
• Regularly check the condition of the gas supply hose and use only original spare parts when re-
placing it.
