Descaling with the BEEM Premium Descaler Concentrate
1. Fill the water tank (10) up to the 8-cup marking with a concentrate/water solution of no more
than 1:20 (one part concentrate to 20 parts water).
2. Touch the fi eld CALC (25) to switch on the device and start the descaling process. The
indicator CALC (24) fl ashes on the display.
While the machine is in descaling mode, keep pouring water into the water tank until the
programme has ended and CALC goes out on the display. During this time, the programme
must not be stopped by an empty water tank. This method has been chosen to ensure that
no descaler residues remain in the machine after the descaling.
3. After fi nishing the process, the device automatically switches to standby mode.
Storage
Disconnect the device from the mains power when it is not going to be used for a prolonged
period. Clean the device again if necessary (see the "Cleaning and Care" chapter) and let it dry
completely.
Store the device and all accessories in a dry, clean, frost-free place that is protected from direct
sunlight and cannot be accessed by children or animals.
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself.
If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact our customer service
department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
Nothing is shown on
the display (4).
The fuse in the fuse box
is triggered.
Water runs out of the
device.
The coffee runs very
slowly into the coffee
jug.
Possible cause
The mains plug is not inserted
correctly in the plug socket.
The plug socket is defective.
There is no mains voltage.
Too many devices connected to
the same circuit.
There is too much water in the
water tank (10).
The drip stop is blocked.
The device is furred up.
Fix
Insert the mains plug.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Reduce the number of devices in
the circuit.
Do not overfi ll the water tank!
Clean the fi lter insert with drip
protection.
Descale the device.
