4.4. Mounting

a.) Mounting AQA total 1500

1. Remove unit components from packaging
and check for completeness.
2. Connect the disconnected connection
module (L), including the screwed on control
unit (J) of the AQA total 1500 unit to the
water pipe using the supplied screw
connection and screwed element (1" external
thread, not illustrated).
Important: Note the embedded flow arrow on the
connection module (L). When delivered the unit is
configured with a flow direction from „left to right".
If the necessary flow direction at the installation site
must be „right to left", then the connection module
(L) must be turned around as follows with the hexa-
gon socket screw wrench provided:
-
Remove the screws (I)
-
Turn the connection module (L) through 180°
-
Note flow direction arrow! Screw the
connection module (L) back onto the holder
plate with the two screws (I).
3. Mount the AQA total 1500 unit on the wall
with the bracket (F), screws (G) and dowels
provided. Tighten the mounting screws (H).
4. Remove the red transport cap from the
working unit. Push the retaining ring on
the connection module upwards and turn it
to the left until the stop is reached.

2
Push the working unit claws upwards in the
connection module and turn them to the
right by 45° up to the stop. Pull the blue
retaining ring back down. The working unit is
then protected against unintentional rotation.
5. Connect the electrode cable to the underside
of the working unit.
3
6. Check the system for correct installation of
power and water (as per DIN 1988, Part 4).
7. Start up the unit (see commissioning) and
check for leaks.
8. Mount the unit cladding and fasten in place
with the knurled screws.

b.) Mounting AQA total 2500

Position the standing unit with a distance of ca.
20 - 30 cm from the wall. Remove the transport
caps and connect the provided corrugated hoses
to the back of the unit.
Mounting variant 1:
Unit can be directly connected to the pipe system
with the reinforced hoses. In this variant, the instal-
lation diagram must be complied with in full.
5
The flow directions marked on the rear of the unit
(IN = inlet, OUT = outlet) must be complied with.
Caution: Depending on national installation requi-
rements, it may be necessary to install a bypass
circuit.
Mounting variant 2:
Install the optionally available connection module in
the water pipe and dock on the optionally
available multiblock
for the AQA total. (Note the
7
installation and operating installations provided for
the multiblock!). Connect the unit with the supplied
hoses to the multiblock.
+
6
7
The flow directions marked on the rear of the unit
(IN = inlet, OUT = outlet) and on the multiblock (em-
bedded flow arrow) must be complied with.
This variant has the advantage that water can still
be used during maintenance work on the unit in the
installation system. An integrated bypass circuit is
not required.

c.) Mounting AQA total 4500
