1 Safety
Always adhere to the safety instructions before assembly and commissioning in
order to avoid personal injuries as well as property damage and functional
malfunctions.

1.1 Intended Use

Two-way valves, in a flap or pipe two-way valve design, are exclusively intended for
routing free-flowing bulk goods to each one of two selected outlets. The technical
application limits must be adhered to, refer to Chapter 2 "Technical Data".
Two-way valves are maintenance free. Defective and worn parts must be replaced, refer
to Chapter 5 "Replacing Parts". Maintenance intervals and maintenance work for supplier
components must be taken from the respective operating instructions from these
suppliers, refer to Chapter 1.2 "Other Applicable Documents".
Other application and utilisation possibilities as well as modification, alterations,
attachments and conversions can considerably endanger the safety, reliability and
function.
Examples for prohibited utilisation:
• Application in explosive environments
• Application with explosives or liquid-type conveyed goods
• Application with conveyed goods which are not permitted by the manufacturer
• Switching the two-way valves in a filled state during operation
