5 Setup and use

This ladder is a special piece of high­quality equipment that needs to be used with care.
Therefore, strictly observe the following step­by­step instructions when using this ladder.
Place the ladder with both its feet on the ground such that you
are facing the lock indicators and that you can see the buttons
clearly. This is also the correct side to use when climbing
the ladder.
For additional stability when extending the ladder, place one
foot on the lowermost rung and pull out the two top stiles first.
Now extend the ladder fully.
When extending the ladder, ensure that all rungs snap into
place and the lock indicator is completely green.
Before using the ladder, check and ensure that the ladder's
locking mechanisms are working properly and that all
extended rungs are snapped and locked in place. Never
use/climb the ladder if any one of the extended rungs
is not locked in place or if the locking mechanism is not
working properly.
If you do not intend to use the entire length of the ladder,
extend the ladder in such a way that the rungs you do not
need are at the top.

Always check that the locking mechanisms are
in order before using the ladder.
When the ladder is being retracted, keep your
hands and fingers away from the rungs and
the space between rungs.
