Opening the Lid

WARNING!
Only trained technicians should carry out maintenance and installation
work.
Disconnect power supply before installing or servicing these enclosures.
Make sure that there is no dirt or moisture on the enclosure or lid that could
get into the interior of the enclosure.
The proper tool must be used to unscrew the lid screws. A PZ2 or the appropriate
slotted screwdriver should be used.
Do not unscrew the screws completely out of the lid. Do not remove the lid seal from
the enclosure lid.

Closing the enclosure

Before re-closing the enclosure lid, be sure that:
• The enclosure lid, the lid seal and the surrounding area are clean and free of dust.
• The enclosure cover is properly aligned with the enclosure base.
• The enclosure lid is properly seated:
- All lid screws are tightened.
- Screws must be tightened crosswise!
- Only silicone seals are approved for use in ATEX/IECEx applications (red seals).
Torque values
Required torques:
Lid screws: 2.5 Nm; use PZ 2 or
slotted screwdriver
If an internal, external earth bolt is used:
M6 earthing bolt: use 7.5 Nm
M10 earthing bolt: use 15.0 Nm
