Mounting plates and Earth Continuity Plates (ECP)

The electrical potential of the mounting plate and the cable entries can be connected
through the ECP/mounting plates at the base of the enclosure.
There are two versions of earth continuity plates:
Both versions are made of brass.
• The earth continuity plate (a cross-shaped plate)
• The ½ earth continuity plate
When using the ½ earth continuity plate, you can establish a connection to the
mounting rail by using an earthing ring (refer to Cable Gland Accessories; mounting
directions can be found in the Appendix).
You can also use the continuous earthing bolt (M6/M10).
The holes in the enclosure must precisely match the holes in the earth
continuity plate so that the IP protection is not compromised.
