Cloning Mode
•
Carefully insert the SATA drives into bay 1 HDD 1 (source) and bay 2 HDD 2 (target).
•
The power adapter must still be connected to a standard household ~230 V power socket.
•
Switch on the Docking & CloneStation with the ON/OFF switch.
•
Hint: You can only activate clone mode without an existing USB connection to the
host computer.
•
Insert the SATA drives to bay 1 HDD 1 (source) and bay 2 HDD 2 (target) gently.
ATTENTION! The copying direction is from bay 1 HDD 1 (source) to bay 2 HDD
2 (target)!
Also make sure that the volume capacity of the source drive is equal to or smaller
than that of the target drive! Otherwise the cloning process will fail.
•
To start the cloning process, press and hold the clone button for about 5 seconds.
•
The front display lights up and shows the cloning process from 1% to 100%.
•
When the front display shows 100%, the cloning process is complete.
Hint: The duration of the cloning process depends on the type of drive (HDD/ SSD) and
the according capacities of drives.
