Cleaning the outer cover
• Wipe with a dry soft cloth or a cloth slightly moistened
with water or neutral detergent solution.
End of season cleaning
• Clean the filter and the body of both the indoor and
outdoor units.
• Turn off the circuit breaker.
The unit contains a crank case heater to protect the
compressor. When the unit is not in use for a long
period of time, turn off the circuit breaker (the heater
consumes 25 to 40 watts of electricity per hour).
Before starting the air conditioner for the first time in the season
• Check that the inlet and outlet vents of both the indoor
and outdoor units are not blocked.
• Check that the ground wire is connected and is in
good condition.

6. PROPER USE

Avoid direct sunlight while cooling
Close the windows' curtains or blinds.
Do not block the airflow
Do not place anything near to the inlet
and outlet vents.
Blocking the airflow will reduce the
unit's efficiency.
Do not cool or heat excessively
This will save energy and electricity.

7. TROUBLESHOOTING

• If abnormal operations (burning smell etc.) occur, stop the
air conditioner and disconnect the power supply.
Continuous operation may damage the unit or cause electric
shock or fire.
Please engage an authorized dealer.
Important notes:
• Wiping with benzine or thinner could cause discoloration or
flaking of the unit's finishing.
• If use chemically treated cloth to clean the unit, please read
and follow the attached directions and warnings.
• Remove dust from the outdoor unit.
• Clean off the rust on the outdoor unit to prevent it from
spreading.
• Check that the air filter has been cleaned.
• Turn on the circuit breaker about 12 hours before operating
the air conditioner. Operating the air conditioner immediately
after turning on the circuit breaker may cause damage to the
unit. Do not cut off the circuit breaker during the season.
Do not use other heating equipments in the same room
while operating the unit
Using heating equipment will reduce the unit's cooling
efficiency.
Do not leave the doors or windows open for a long period
of time.
The airflow will reduce the unit's efficiency.
Cleaning the air filter
Use a vacuum cleaner or water to clean
the air filter.
Clogged air filter will reduce the unit's efficiency.

• Do not try to repair the air conditioner by yourself.
Improper repairs may cause electric shock or fire. Please
engage an authorized dealer.
