WARRANTY (EXCEPT USA AND AUSTRALIA)

Your JAQUET DROZ watch is guaranteed
by Montres Jaquet Droz SA from the date
of purchase for the duration and under the
terms and conditions of the International
Warranty Card delivered with the watch.
The international JAQUET DROZ
covers material and manufacturing defects
existing at the time of the delivery of the pur-
chased JAQUET DROZ ® watch ("defects").
The warranty only comes into force if the
International Warranty Card is activated by
an official JAQUET DROZ
warranty certificate").
During the warranty period and by presenting
the valid warranty certificate, you will have
the right to have any defect repaired free of
charge. In the event that repairs are unable
to restore the normal conditions of use of
your JAQUET DROZ ® watch, Montres Jaquet
Droz SA guarantees its replacement by a JA-
®
QUET DROZ watch of identical or similar
characteristics. The warranty for the replace-
ment watch ends after the duration defined
on the warranty certificate from the date of
purchase of the replaced watch.
This manufacturer's warranty does not
cover :
• normal wear and tear and aging (e.g.
scratched crystal; alteration of the colour
and/or material of non metallic straps and
chains, such as leather, textile, rubber);
• any damage due to magnetic fields, thermal
shocks and direct contact with chemicals;
• any damage on any part of the watch re-
sulting from abnormal/abusive use, lack of

warranty care, negligence, accidents (knocks, dents,
crushing, broken crystal, etc.), incorrect
use of the watch and non-observance of
the directions for use provided by Montres
Jaquet Droz SA;
®
reseller ("valid • indirect or consequential damages of any
kind resulting from the use, the non-func-
tioning, the defects or the inaccuracy of the
JAQUET DROZ watch;
• a JAQUET DROZ watch handled by non-
authorized persons (e.g. for services or re-
pairs) or whose original condition has been
altered beyond Montres Jaquet Droz SA's
control.
Any further claim against Montres Jaquet
Droz SA e.g. for damages additional to the
above described warranty is expressly ex-
cluded, except mandatory statutory rights the
purchaser may have against the manufacturer.
The above manufacturer's warranty:
• is independent of any warranty that may
be provided by the seller, for which he
carries sole responsibility;
• does not affect the purchaser's rights
against the seller nor any other mandatory
statutory rights the purchaser may have
against the seller;
The Montres Jaquet Droz SA's customer
service ensures the perfect maintenance of
your JAQUET DROZ watch. If your watch
needs attention, rely on an official JAQUET
DROZ dealer or an authorized JAQUET
DROZ Service Center as set forth in the
enclosed list: they can guarantee service ac-
cording to Montres Jaquet Droz SA's stan-
dards.
