MAINTENANCE

Carry out regular visual checks. Check the machine for damage before each use.
CAUTION
Do not use the machine if there is visible damage.
9.1

CHANGING CARBON BRUSHES

With very frequent use, the carbon brushes wear out
and affect the performance of the machine. A sign of
this would be a significantly slower working speed of
the clipper.
The carbon brushes are located on both sides at the
rear end of the machine. They are accessible from
the outside and can be easily replaced.
WARNING
Have the carbon brushes replaced by qualified
personnel.
WARNING AGAINST ELECTRICAL VOLTAGES
► Incorrectly used carbon brushes can cause
an electric shock during operation. Change
the carbon brushes with care. If you have
any doubts when changing the carbon
brushes, contact the manufacturer.
► When changing the carbon brushes, make
sure that the machine is disconnected from
the power supply during the change.
1. Switch off the machine and disconnect it from the
power supply.
2. Remove the holder for the carbon brushes (6) on
the sides of the clipper with a screwdriver and pull
out the used carbon brushes (fig. 7 and 8).
3. Insert the new carbon brushes with the holder.
Important: make sure that the rounded sides
of the carbon brushes match the curves on the
motor (fig. 9).
NOTICE
Make sure that no foreign objects or impurities
enter the opening during replacement.
4. Use a screwdriver to retighten the holder.
