GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read and follow the safety instructions in this chapter to avoid safety risks with the
machine.
WARNING AGAINST ELECTRICAL VOLTAGES
► Only insert the plug into properly installed sockets, otherwise the
consequences may be a short circuit or electric shock. The socket used should
be equipped with a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB).
► Keep the machine away from water or other liquids, otherwise the
consequences may be electric shock or a short circuit. Do not clip wet animals.
► Do not make any improper changes or modifications to the machine.
WARNING
► Do not expose the machine to extreme heat, cold, pressure or moisture. This
could damage the unit and cause an electrical fire when the unit is started. In
doing so, observe the information given in the technical data.
► Only use the machine in well-ventilated rooms and away from flammable or
explosive materials.
► Only carry out adjustments to the unit and maintenance work when the unit
is switched off and disconnected from the power supply.
► The unit may only be operated by persons who are experienced in handling
the animals to be clipped. Persons with physical impairments must be under
supervision during use.
► Children are not permitted to handle the machine. Keep the machine away
from children.
► Do not leave the unit unattended to prevent misuse of the unit by children
and third parties.
CAUTION
► Do not use the machine for longer than the specified maximum continuous
operation time. Afterwards, let the machine rest for at least 10 minutes.
► In the event of unusual noises or smells or smoke being emitted, switch off
the device and immediately unplug the power cord.
► Make sure that the power cord does not pose any danger to people or
animals. Lay the cord so that neither people nor animals can trip over it, get
tangled or step on it.
► Keep hands, loose clothing and jewellery away from the blades during
operation to prevent injury from trapping.
► To prevent eye injuries from foreign objects, use the machine only on cleaned
fur and wear safety glasses when using the machine.
► Only use the machine with correctly inserted and sharp blades.
► Do not use the machine if there is visible damage.
