6. Battery operation with wired gong module

Remove the cover of the gong and insert 4 x 1.5V batteries – take care to
ensure the polarity is correct. Connecting the bell wires with the connec-
tions T1 and T4 produces a three-tone sound when the bell is pressed.
Connecting the bell wires with the connections T3 and T4 produces a
polyphone melody when the bell is pressed (refer to
point 8 for melody selection).
Please observe that it is recommended to only use bell plates that have
no illumination, since the light would lead to the batteries running out very
quickly. These varying connection possibilities enable you to distinguish
calls between two bells, e.g. between for example the bell ring of the ent-
rance door and that of the apartment door.

7. Battery operation with radio extension kit

Remove the cover of the gong. Loosen the screws of the wired gong module
and remove it from the module slot. Insert a radio module (radio extension
kit, not included) and attach it with the existing screws.
Type 04821: Insert 3 x 1.5V batteries into the Gong and 2 x 1.5V AAA batte-
ries into the transmitter.
Type 04281R2: Insert 3 x 1.5V batteries into the Gong and 1 x 3V CR2032
batteries into the transmitter.
Take care to ensure the polarity is correct. Match the house code of the
gong and the transmitter, i.e. both rotary switches should point to the same
number.
This product would not perform normally under a strong electro static envi-
ronment, it may need manual reset to normal operation.
