GAS PRE-FLOW and POST-FLOW time can be set as parameters (3, 10) in tenths of a second. It offers additional protection with gas until metal cools down.
PULSED CURRENT is available in TIG AC and DC mode and is used for fine work. Ordinary TIG welding is usually done without pulsed current for materials thicker than 1
mm. Heat input is lower with pulsed current and work with very thin materials is easier this way. For welding thin metal sheets pulsed current is used. By pressing button (27)
pulsed current is activated. In pulse mode the following special parameters can be adjusted to user's requirements: frequency (22), pulse current (6), base current (7) and pulse
duty cycle (23). Before starting the welding it is recommended to make tests and trial runs on scarp material.
LIFT-ARC function can be activated via button (11). TIG DC welding can be started without HF arc ignition. In sensitive environments where high frequency used for arc ignition
can cause disturbance it is advisable to use this function. The arc now starts by touching the workpiece with tungsten electrode.

MMA WELDING

TIG machines offer an option for welding coated electrodes. Connect the earth clamp and electrode holder to connectors on the power source front panel. Set the welding
process (13) to MMA and adjust the welding current (6) depending on the electrode used and material thickness. Voltage is present on the electrode as soon as MMA function
is active. No-load voltage is lowered to 9 V for safety reasons in delicate environment. Reduced no-load voltage function is active when green LED marking the MMA process
is lit. When the green LED is flashing there is full voltage present on the machine's output. Arc Force is set at position (28). To activate the VDR function see the SECONDARY
MENU – D09.
ARC FORCE is an addition to welding current when welding voltage is low. This makes welding possible in difficult situations when the electrode must penetrate deep in the
metal bath. A general rule would be a higher Arc Force setting when electrode is close to weld-piece, arc is short and welding voltage is low.
HOT START current is set at position (17) and is used to enhance the ignition of coated electrodes.
Current addition to welding current for a short period of time during arc ignition can be set in percentage of set welding current from 0 – 100 %. At 100 % the arc is ignited with
double set welding current. Hot start current duration is set at position (18) with a time range from 0 – 2 s. Please read the electrode manufacturer's instructions and set correct
polarity before use.
PROGRAM MEMORY
For saving your personal settings this machine has 9 memory spots at disposal. One memory position usually marked with numbers from 1-9 on display is always active and
any changes made to it are automatically saved.
To keep the changes press button (24) and program number changes. New program memory spot is active and available with all changes made to program at previous number
already saved automatically.
To recall a program press button (24) until the correct program number shows on display.
To change an already saved program press button (24) until its number shows on display. Now adjust the welding parameters. To keep these altered settings change the
memory spot to next position by pressing button (24).

THERMAL PROTECTION

Thermal protection is built in machine. If the machine overheats, thermal fuse will prevent further use and LED (15) will light up. Please wait for machine's temperature to drop
to normal. Note the machine must be left switched on for the fan to keep running and allow faster cooling.
