• A tool in sleep mode, cannot be activated by push-
ing the safety or the trigger. To reactivate the tool,
eject the battery and reinsert it into the tool.

Maintenance instructions

General maintenance

• Clean the intake filter regularly to keep the tool in
full efficiency.
• The employer and the operator are responsible for
assuring that the gas tool is kept in safe working
order. Furthermore, only authorized TJEP service
personnel or TJEP distributors shall repair the gas
tool and must use parts or accessories that are
supplied or recommended by Kyocera Unimerco
Fastening.
• Keep the gas tool in clean condition at all times.
Wipe off grease or oil with dry clean cloth to prevent
accidental drop of the gas tool. Avoid any use of sol-
vent base cleaner to clean the gas tool, as certain
solvent will damage or weaken the composite parts
of the tool.
• NEVER use a tool if there is any doubt.

Cold weather

• It is not suggested to use the gas tool at temper-
atures below –7°C (19°F). The cold weather will
decrease the combustion efficiency and also the
battery performance.

Storage

• When not in use for an extended period, apply a thin
coat of lubricant to the steel parts to avoid rust. Do
not store the gas tool in a cold weather environ-
ment. When not in use, the nailer should be stored
in a warm and dry place. Keep out of childrens
reach.
