Inserting the batteries

WARNING! Observe the following
instructions to avoid mechanical and
electrical damage.
Before using the product for the first time, insert
the batteries (included).
Inserting the batteries into the remote
control
1. Use a suitable screwdriver to loosen the screw
(1a) of the battery compartment cover (1b) on
the bottom of the remote control (1) (Fig. A).
2. Remove the battery compartment cover (1b)
(Fig. A) and carefully insert three batteries (4)
into the battery compartment (1c) (Fig. B). The
batteries must be completely inside the battery
holder.
Note: check the plus/minus poles of the batter-
ies and insert them correctly.
3. Screw the battery compartment cover (1b)
tightly onto the bottom again.
Inserting the batteries into the battery
box
1. Use a suitable screwdriver to loosen the
screws (2a) of the battery compartment
cover (2b) on the back of the battery box (2)
(Fig. C).
Note: the battery compartment (2d) is not
visible in Figure C as the battery holder (2c) is
still inside.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover (2b)
(Fig. C) and take out the battery holder (2c)
(Fig. D).
3. Insert six batteries (4) into the battery holder
(2c) (Fig. D). The batteries must be completely
inside the battery holder.
Note: check the plus/minus poles of the batter-
ies and insert them correctly.
4. Reinsert the battery holder (2c) into the bat-
tery compartment (2d) (Fig. D).
Note: check the plus/minus poles of the battery
holder (2c) and correct insertion into the battery
compartment (2d).
5. Screw the battery compartment cover (2b)
tightly onto the back again.

Replacing the batteries

WARNING! Observe the following
instructions to avoid mechanical and
electrical damage.
When the batteries are flat, replace them as
described in the insertion instructions. Remove
the batteries from the product before inserting
new ones.
You must first remove the battery box (2) from
the engine block before replacing the batteries.
Proceed as follows:
1. First, lift the battery box (2) out of the engine
block (3) and carefully pull the connection ca-
ble (3a) out from the battery box (2) (Fig. E).
Note: you can find more information on
connecting the battery box to the engine block
in the section 'Connecting the battery box to the
engine block (Fig. E)'.
2. Remove the battery box from the train.

In order to be able to control the train via remote
control, you must connect the battery box (2)
with the engine block (3). The engine block is
built in. You can find further information on the
design variants in the design schematics.
1. Place the battery box (2) on the engine block
(3) such that the plug connection (2e) is locat-
ed on the side of the connection cable (3a).
2. Insert the end of the connection cable (3a)
into the plug connection (2e) of the battery
box (2).
Establishing a wireless
connection
In order to control the train via remote control
(1), you must turn on the remote control (1) and
the battery box (2) and establish a wireless
connection.
1. Set the switch (2f) on the battery box (2) to
'ON'.
2. The control light (2h) flashes green. This
indicates that the battery box (2) is trying to
connect to the remote control.
3. Press the 'ON/OFF' button (1d) to turn on the
remote control (1).
